Profile

Also known by her full name Khawla Bint Mansour Al-Sadiq, Khawla (arabic: خولة‎) is a 51 year old female Arabian Wolf. She is an Iraqi, the daughter of a book-keeper, that lived during the early Abbasid era during the Golden Age. She was not only fluent and excellent in her native Arabic language but also in Persian as well. She used to work as an infantry archer on horseback, known for her fierce and careful eye in battle as she steadily aimed her bow and arrow.

She resided in Al-Ukhaidir Fortress (in now what is modern day Karbala, Iraq), a steady place of trade and interaction where she would deem it her home. She often slept slumped on the walls, reading a copy of whatever book she could find on the shelves, eating of what remained in her basket of fruits. Her steady fascination in literature had grown her interest from not only reading but writing as well. She would often jot down her ramblings of the curiosities of everyday life, whether about hardships or joy. Travelers and resident folk would soon listen to her stories, her tongue brilliant in emotions and feelings. Using her soft and somber voice, this would touch the hearts of bystanders that heard her tales. Her intense use of stylistic Wasf (descriptive language) attracted them to her prose. This eventually gained the attention of her father, who warmly welcomed her into his library to read yet even more literature. Eventually when she retired from her military career, she resorted to inheriting her father's library and took over. She would work as a translator to help decipher texts from the neighboring Persian merchant caravans and continued to write her poems since.

Other information: Is married to her husband (Nasir Al-Dawood) and has three children: Badr (girl), Bilal (boy), Farid (Boy). She gained her eye scar from an involving a rather large bookshelf falling on her by accident, but she jokingly boasts it as battle scars (especially to her children). She would often wear a lot of Kohl (eyeshadow) to protect her from the suns rays whenever she would venture outside in the morning, where it would stain her fur permanently as her markings.

She is named after the real life figure Khawlah bint al-Azwar!
