Canon Version

From the casual onlooker, Hideki may look like a charismatic and studious 17 year old with a luxurious family background, but in reality, he’s actually quite aloof when approached by those who look up to him. Deep inside, he’s a complicated person who rarely shows anyone his true self, and also struggles to balance the expectations of those around him and what he truly desires to do. In school, rumors have circulated about him, all somewhat nefarious, that tie him to gang violence and brutality, but not many of his schoolmates believed it…that is, until he started hanging around the Four Corners. What could be possibly lurking in Hideki Yuhara’s past?

Drawing done around 2015 after getting asked to draw what they would look like 10 years into the future. Although their looks are subject to change, this is still pretty close to how I'd imagine Hideki looking. I imagine he might actually start getting (a little) grey fairly early, but colors it. Hideki hates coming to terms with the fact he's aging.

Host AU

The only AU I'm actually actively working on and trying to see through to the end...😅 I plan for this to be a visual novel. The premise is based on, if Kazuhiro and Hideki never met as teenagers, the Four Corners never existed, and the villain succeeded in getting his way. Kazuhiro is a sort of dispirited, cynical university student. Also, Keiichi is alive in this one (well, he is in all of the AUs though lol) and there's still a rivalry between them, that's a little interesting to see played out now that they're adults. Hideki in this version is rather mysterious and (of course) cool. Kazuhiro needs to get closer to him in order to figure out if he has any information, however something develops (and we all know how that goes.) 

2000, Yokohama. When he was 18 years old, Kazuhiro Tsuchiya dropped out of police academy, and his life hasn't been quite the same since. He now attends a university nearby, where he drags out his twenties one day listlessly to the next, giving school a low rung effort. To entertain himself and earn a little extra cash, he starts up his own amateur detective “agency” and solves minor, non criminal investigations for classmates who can pay the price. Known for his quick resolutions and efficiency in solving every case, he accepts a missing person investigation without much of an afterthought. While on the search for a student's younger brother, “Eiji Matsubara”, he is lead to infiltrate a gay host club where Eiji worked before disappearing, and Kazuhiro finds himself catching the attention of a powerful, mysterious man whom might have had a connection to Eiji Matsubara. The deeper Kazuhiro digs, the shadier the labyrinth becomes—and so, how much will Kazuhiro have to lose in order to find the truth?

Mangaka AU

This one is probably now my more prioritized AUs since I recently picked back up with it this year, since I started writing it around 2017. I've recently started uploading it along with pictures in each chapter. Like all the other AUs, Keiichi is alive (doesn't make much of an appearance so far though). Ranmaru takes a surprising role in here as well.

Kazuhiro Tsuchiya is 29 and is now beginning to rethink his ten year career as a manga author. He initially took off in the shonen genre, creating a popular series that was loved by both boys and girls in the years of 1996-2000. Though Kazuhiro's work once received noteworthy reviews, he, on the other hand, is infamous for butting heads with any and all editors who've dared to defy his creative decisions. After changing publishers, yet again, Kazuhiro finds himself in hot water. Most editors and the publishers representing him are shying away due to his rumored temper and stubborn personality. Just as he's ready to throw in the towel and switch careers, he's scouted by Hideki Yuhara, a rookie editor from a budding publishing company who caught interest in his work. Everyone has warned Hideki that this artist is bad news, but Hideki seems determined to make it work. Could Kazuhiro and Hideki be a creative dream team, or are they simply destined to crumble into disarray like all of the author’s previous partnerships?
