Discordia
The Corrupted Siren
"After all, it is simply in my nature to guide those to their roles... however fleeting they may be."
Worse yet, she discovered a harrowing secret: the denizens of the world were effectively trapped in an eternal loop against their will. Every time something considered “out of the perfect order” occurred – be it a full-scale disaster, a simple visitor from another world, or even an emergent technology – the moment its resolution concludes, everyone’s memories are forcibly reset, and something is lost in the process. Even most of the legendaries above her were unaware of this (having also been affected). Few believed her, and those who did felt they didn't need to act; they had their role, and that was what they needed to stick to. She was sickened by all of it yet felt powerless in her position.
And then a meteor nearly struck the planet.
Thanks to the efforts of two brave heroes and a legend in the sky, it never truly did hit, but the aftermath would give Meloetta the very opportunity she needed to break away from the chains of fate. Within the meteor was an alien creature that burrowed under the planet, weakened by the attack and terrified now that it was stuck on a foreign world. Meloetta, through her power of song, would be able to connect with them heart-to-heart, and uncovered a name that spoke of their immense power: Eternatus.
The two agreed to become partners and help one another. Meloetta, now calling herself Discordia, would gather up the scattered remains of the creature’s body that had been spread throughout the world with the meteor’s destruction. In turn, Eternatus would grant her newfound power – power to finally gain the freedom for herself she always desired. For Discordia, this wasn’t enough; the world itself needed to be freed from its tangled web of lies and the conspiracy that decided their destiny was stagnation and mediocrity.
However, she knew she couldn’t tackle it on her own. Those who created the reset considered themselves above gods already, and they had the power to match. No, this would need to be a collective decision by the ‘regular’ Pokémon themselves. Such a thing would be possible if she had a champion: a ‘hero’ under fully committed under her cause that would begin rallying the world to finally overthrow the old-world order and create it anew.
All she needed to do was to fabricate a large enough problem that could not be ignored by the other legendaries and pretend to be helping summon a hero from another world to fix it. She would cherry pick someone with a strong will yet emotionally vulnerable enough to be easily influenced. However, she would soon find her plans would go awry, and she would slowly become the very type of person she always hated: forcing the role upon another that they never truly wanted to begin with.
