Chespin was born in the CHEESE GANG, although he was too young to remember. His mother, HEIDAL, wanted Bunnelby to train him, and had Bunnelby take care of Chespin since he was a baby. Bunnelby regrets agreeing to it to this day.

For most of his life, Chespin had just been in Bunnelby's team, and was defiant to her many attempts to train him to be strong.

When he ran into a trainer who gave him McDonalds, he listened even LESS to Bunnelby, and instead constantly tried to sneakily get Big Macs and Happy Meals.
