Elkmange. He is nearly exclusively referred to as Elkmange by his equals in the court. It started as a derogatory nickname recalling his poor upbringing and low social standing during childhood, but has become a normal name for him now. It is still somewhat disrespectful, so it's wise for those lower in rank than he to avoid the nickname.

Elkmange is an informant to the court of Karthes. He is disliked by many, but highly regarded for his skills in intel. He is not an officially appointed member of the court, so is not in any of the "rings", but is the equivalent of someone in the middle ring.
Profile
Elkmange can be summed up with one word: machiavellian. Mange is a bit cocky and very intelligent and witty, but sometimes underestimates the intelligence of others. Often has a condescending tone and likes to make himself seem in control - it's very rare that he shows genuine emotion. Because of his personality he is disliked by the majority of the court, but also respected for his skills. He came from a low social background and has worked hard to build himself up, and is always looking for more opportunities to help himself rise in standing. Mange has built himself a standing and position in the court, even though he was not officially appointed.
He is an excellent manipulator and is skilled at befriending those he knows will be of use to him and his endeavors. He has a powerful grip over the court and is not to be toyed with, as the amount of secrets he knows is enough to bring down the system. Very good at putting on a smile, but has a habit of not smiling with his eyes, which can occassionally give his farce away.
