- Didn’t realize she was a Star Warrior for her entire life up until she was rescued by Sir Arthur and co. It explained a lot of stuff that happened in her past.

Essentially being orphaned and raised by the village since she was a young child, Minnie was taken in by a librarian who allowed her to take residence within the town library in exchange for working at it. She lived normally, dedicating much of her time to learning new things with the endless resources at the library.
When she was around 10, Minnie met Mallory, a fruit bat of the same age who had come to visit town. The two instantly clicked, becoming the closest of friends. Mallory confided in Minnie with her problems at home regarding her family, and although she couldn’t help directly, Minnie empathized with her and lent her a shoulder to cry on, deepening their bond. Although Mallory’s home life placed a slight strain on their relationship, over the span of the next 2 years, the pair developed mutual feelings for each other, eventually beginning to date in secret. Over the span of another 2 years, Minnie and Mallory continued to date without anyone's knowledge. Although she was kept in the dark regarding most of Mallory’s fathers actions, Minnie understood the severity of Ardonas actions and the seriousness of the situation her girlfriend was in. The extent of the situation came to a head when one stormy night, when Minnie was 14, she opened the library door and was greeted by the sight of Mallory, and a smaller, shivering figure hiding behind her.
After cleaning up, Minnie brought Mallory to another room, where she began to explain the situation and why she came here. Minnie learned that Mallory’s little brother, Ricky, had gotten into terrible trouble after attempting to free a god that their father had planned to murder, was promptly imprisoned, and was then broken out by Mallory to avoid the grave punishment that would most likely await him. Mallory requested that Minnie took him in and hid him away, stressing how serious the matter was, and what precautions she’d need to take. After discussing, Minnie agreed to take him in due to the love she had for Mallory, and the pair wept together, understanding that this could most likely be the last time they saw each other. After giving her last goodbyes to her little brother and girlfriend, Mallory flew back off into the night to return home.
Although it was awkward to break down the walls and become close with such a traumatized, unfamiliar child (while also still being a child herself), Minnie and Ricky became attached, the elder empathizing with his situation and assuring him that he was safe here. Using what she had around her, the two bonded over literature, Minnie teaching Ricky and helping him gain a natural affinity for books. She was sent letters from Mallory that explained the situation back at home, being unable to visit them in person due to the danger that could follow.
2 years after taking in Ricky, Minnie walked out of the library and was greeted with the sight of King Ardona himself in the town square, allying with the mayor, due to the recent rising tensions that had sparked between Nightmare and the Star Warriors. Immediately realizing what was happening and remembering what Mallory instructed her to do, she quickly rushed back inside, ushering Ricky to pack his belongings while she got everything they needed and left a letter behind for the librarian. Rushing out the back of the library, the pair quickly ran from town and to Minnie’s secret spaceship, boarding the ship and fleeing from the planet unnoticed, and officially losing all contact with Mallory.
During their travel, Minnie and Ricky occasionally came across monsters due to the aforementioned war (and because of Minnie unknowingly being a Star Warrior), surprisingly being able to beat them. They eventually landed on a far away planet, being cautious of the new town they were in, until they eventually began to warm up to the townsfolk and became a part of the community. Over the span of the next decade, Minnie continued to raise Ricky while living in peace. One day while hanging in the town square, Minnie learned the news that the mayor of their town had refused allyship with Veratrum and Nightmare Enterprises, and immediately knew it wasn’t going to end well. After rushing home and informing Ricky of the news, they began to pack to flee once more, but Ardona and his forces began to attack the town, nearly destroying it. While attempting to follow after Ricky out of the home, their home was directly hit, causing both of them to be hit by shrapnel, and Minnie to be almost completely trapped and pinned beneath the rubble of their home. Witnessing Ricky frantically attempting to save her, Minnie understood the graveness of her injuries and believed she was going to die, blearily telling him to go to the ship and leave without her. Although he refused in his own injured state, she told him that she had promised his sister that she would keep him safe when she first took him in, and she had no intention of breaking the promise now.
Giving each other their presumed last goodbye, Minnie watched with 1 uninjured eye as Ricky stumbled outside of town to their ship, only succumbing to her injuries and fainting when she could see the ship leaving orbit.
2 days later, Sir Arthur and his team arrived in the town to investigate and find any survivors. Although they were unhopeful, Kay, a newbie in the team came across Minnie’s body beneath the rubble, and just barely managed to catch her pulse. Alerting the others, they freed Minnie’s body and brought her onto their ship. With the help of the knights and their medic Bedivere, Minnie was nursed back to health and eventually woke back up, bewildered at her state and the strangers around her. After recovering, Minnie became close with the others, and they eventually discovered she was a Star Warrior, allowing her to join their team.
In current times, Minnie has become a formidable knight while also helping around with mechanics, archives, and other things, thanks to her knowledge from both the library and the townspeople. Minnie desperately wishes to reunite with Ricky, but she’s encountered multiple blockages, knowing for starters that she can’t send out a missing persons request for him in fear of alerting his father, and also knowing that Ricky is likely not searching for her, being under the belief that she’s dead. She’s become incredibly close with her fellow Star Warriors however, becoming almost family-like.
Ricky [ adopted son?? kid? ]
Before the two were separated, Ricky and Minnie had an incredibly close bond with each other, especially because Minnie raised him for half of his life and had made multiple sacrifices for him. Minnie cared for him deeply and saw him in a parental/sisterly way, always looking out for him and making sure his needs were provided. They both got along incredibly well and Minnie was essentially Ricky’s rock, always being someone he could trust and look towards for help. Minnie was genuinely devastated when she woke back up and realized that she had not only survived, but was also now seperated from Ricky with no way to find him. Although shes too occupied to actually search in earnest, Minnie has informed the other Star Warriors about who Ricky is and to look out for him, and she always searches around for him just a little bit when they’re in a new place.
Mallory [ estranged childhood girlfriend ]
Back when the two still had contact, Mallory and Minnie were incredibly close to each other. Minnie was one of the sole people Mallory trusted and opened up to, and the two bonded, eventually developing mutual feelings for one another. They remained incredibly close despite the strain Ardona and Veratrum had on Mallory, keeping their relationship hidden to prevent any complications from arising. Minnie’s love for Mallory is what made her so inclined to helping and protecting Ricky, leaving everything she had known behind multiple times just to keep them safe. Although it has been 15+ years since the two lost contact, Minnie still harbors feelings for Mallory, and wishes to see her again.
Bedivere and Kay [ comrades/close friends ]
Although Minnie is close to the entire crew, she’s particularly closest with Kay and Bedivere, the two other newbies on the team. The trio get along very well thanks to their age proximity and their more carefree attitude, due to them joining after the great war and being spared of most of its horrors. They’re basically a best friend trio that like to do funny shit and poke at their seniors.
