Kitale (kih-tah-lee)
An enigma that hides behind a soft and knowing smile. It's difficult to tell if he's for the good or bad, when everything he says or does is covered over by that subtle expression. He seems to always know things, but how is anyone's guess. Despite his mysteriousness, he has an odd way of making others want to tell him things or trust him when maybe they shouldn't.
Kitale spends his time wandering the southern desert regions, travelling between the towns and cities and accompanying merchant caravans and wayfarers. Although he has a home, it's hidden away in the expanse of the desert and doesn't necessarily return to it frequently.
Through traveling with others coupled with his oddly seductive disposition, Kitale is oft rewarded with information. He uses this information in a variety of ways; to barter, gain favor, and occassionally to manipulate circumstances.
In the end, he's in it for the game more than for anything else. He's neither good nor bad, but some neutral stance in between. If it favors him, he'll do it. Although it's not easily done, beware rubbing him the wrong way.
