Bea (Beatrice)

Anxious, weathered engineer/mechanic. Married to Aida. Would like her wife to slow down please.

Born into a farming family, oldest of three with two younger twin brothers, Cort and Darin. Their father raised them all together, dearly in need of some hands to work the land, and repairing farm equipment is not Bea got her hands on engines for the first time. She fixed her neighbours' machines too, in exchange for a pair of boots here, a couple of bucks there, and got pretty good at it too. When her father passed, she left her mom and the twins in charge of the farm and enlisted as an engineer in the space military, hoping to put some food on the table and get her poor mother off her feet and into some semblance of a decent living.

One of the pilots, a curious girl, decked out in gold and finery, got to drinking and playing cards with her and the rest of the crew, and one day came to her with an offer to smuggle some questionable materials off planet. It paid better than the military, and something about the girl made Bea's heart race. She never looked back.
