• Ian is a fire and dark based demon and the adoptive father of Dakota, Derek, and Cryptic. For now anyways,, and despite his demonic nature, he still finds a way to love each of them even if it’s considered rather strange in the eyes of others. •

• He has a large soft spot for children and animals alike, finding them to be pretty adorable. For some reason, he just loves them too much for his own good. As told from his brother, Rex. Though, Ian does enjoy taking care and raising them. Even if they’re quite a handful at times,, oh, and he likes fluff, if that isn’t obvious- •

• When he was a child, he was born with a pure spirit unlike other demons. Because of his pure spirit, he was an innocent child who just wanted to impress his parents and make others happy instinctively. Especially his father. He was mostly an outcast and even his general father rejected him completely so the only one who did love him was his mother despite not being always there for him and soon to be best friend, Zylac. •

• Though during his childhood, he didn’t really have any powerful magic, let alone magic. He was quite weak and fragile, yet his cheerful attitude said otherwise. He later on gained some of his present magic due to father, though, it wasn’t exactly as exciting as the child had hoped. His father was always trying to train him to be stronger. Even though that was the purpose, it usually ended with Ian being beaten down more than necessary and receiving things he didn’t wish to hear. •  

• As he grew older throughout the years, that pure spirit grew to be corrupted due to his father’s neglect and abuse, as well as the hellish environment he was in as well. He sort of adapted, but still didn’t fit in as that pure spirit was still somewhere there. •

• In this world, most demons have some form of spirit that represents them. They’re kind of seen as like 'inner demons' or 'inner self'. It’s like a demon’s true form. Ian’s so called corrupted spirit is able to shape shift into any form as long as it has the power and will to do so. However, it acts as like a separate entity and is mostly made up of Ian’s many suppressed emotions over the years. This is also kind of why he’s so easy to provoke and anger and why he also doesn’t really use his full demon form that often. •

• Ian is also pretty good at suppressing most of his true emotions since he’s always smiling 24/7 and only ever lets his guard down once in a blue moon- along with the fact that he doesn’t really talk about himself and is usually the one giving advice to others. Or provoking others depending on the individual,, He does have some form of self doubt quite often due to his childhood, which he covers up with narcissism and 'confidence' as it’s more like a coping mechanism for him. He likes being complicated like that- however due to this, he did earn himself a lot of accidental enemies. •

• Personality time,, minus his trauma, he’s actually a pretty considerate and nice demon like skeleton if you put aside his constant teasing and flirts. Though, he can get a little possessive and overprotective at times over people he cares for. He can also get a liiiittle stubborn since he doesn’t like to apologize nor admit that he was in the wrong. He’ll eventually come around once he feels a little guilty though xD. Careful to not push too many of his buttons however, he’s very easy to provoke and anger as mentioned before. •

• In summary, he’s a very complicated character with a bunch of trauma that I didn’t get into detail with in here. But hey, I kind of like the fact that I put in a lot of effort and thinking into him while finally putting it somewhere for people to see :D and I love him for that- •

• Fun fact, Ian is quite touch starved and an attention seeker to some extent- he loves getting attention from someone every once in awhile and hates being ignored unless he wants to be alone himself. His redesign is also based on a white tiger so there’s that- •

• as he talks, his hands/arms are also usually moving and gesturing along to what he’s saying. •

• Second fun fact, He enjoys dancing and every once in a while he’ll do so in secret or with his really close friends- •

• Also, he can unhinge his jaw pretty wide, showing around 8 tongues. He usually uses this ability just to eat something large or to actually attack. However, it does mean that he’s more sensitive when it comes to tasting anything,, so he dislikes anything bitter.
