backstory

Akira began her life all on her own, her parents being killed just  days after she was born. When she turned 1, she was found by Deanthe,  the Dragon of Death. Unlike what her name suggested, she was a very gentle and caring being. She took Akira in and cared for her for a few years, teaching her how to use Death Dragon Slayer magic during that time. When Akira was forced 400 years into the future with the use of the Eclipse Gate, she found herself all alone. Deanthe having transformed and been placed inside of Akira at the time, as to preserve her life force.

It took a mere 2 weeks for Akira to be found by  someone. The person in question was Faye, she took Akira in and adopted her into her family. She took care of her for a few years alongside her partner Gail. They lived in Chinatsu Village, a small town which not  many people. This was located right next to Rosemary Village, which is where her future friend Erza lived when she was a child. This is also where a cult that followed the Black Wizard, Zeref, decided to attack.

They killed all of the adults, leaving only children so that they could be easily enslaved. The next target was Chinatsu. Akira lost her family  that day, as they all tried to protect her but to no avail. This was the start of a time period that Akira would much rather forget. Her adoptive parents were both killed right in front of her, leaving her in  shock so she was easily captured.

All of the children, along with Akira were taken to the Tower of Heaven. This is where Akira first met Erza. The two of them quickly became friends, looking out for one another when something happened. Akira tried to escape alongside Erza  and a few other children. Akira did in fact manage to get out, but the others weren't quick enough and were caught. She had managed to find a small boat and quickly left the island. It took her a few days to reach  the mainland.

For another year, Akira roamed the countryside. Eventually coming to a town called Magnolia. This is where she found her current home, Fairy Tail. It was a guild filled with many interesting  people. All of which accepted Akira with open arms, not caring how dangerous her magic was.

Lullaby arc

This is Akira's very first appearance, she is officially introduced when Lucy and Natsu are on their way back from their job request concerning Everlue's Mansion. She's assisting Gray on a job that he was bound to have a bit of trouble with.

Lucy and Akira immediately hit it off, quickly becoming friends within a few short moments of conversing with one another. Not too long after, they are attacked by some mediocre wizards that end up kidnapping Happy. They all chase after them, effectively saving Happy from apparently being 'eaten' as they were starving at this point in time.

This is where the group first hear about the dark object called 'Lullaby'. Quickly returning to the guild they end up meeting with Erza who requests for Akira, Natsu and Gray to accompany her on her mission to stop the so called Eisenwald guild that is responsible. 

They quickly catch up with them, finding them at Oshibana station. This is where their main fighter Eligor shows up, showing off his wind magic. He disappears, and the rest of the guild get ready to fight the Fairy Tail members. Erza commands Gray and Natsu to go after some of the members that had taken off, and fights the rest of the guild all on her own. Lucy and Akira lend a bit of assistance, taking out a few for themselves.

Lucy takes off to find Natsu, while Akira stays behind with Erza, who had ended up using too much of her magic power, becoming exhausted. Gray soon shows up, telling them that the entire station is surrounded by a force-field of wind, basically impenetrable. The others show up and Happy gives Lucy a celestial king that he had gotten previously. Virgo, proves to be quite useful and digs a hole underground so that they can all get out.

Natsu takes off after Eligor and ends up fighting him. He takes quite the beating before he manages to get the upper-hand, finally beating him. Kageyama, another member of Eisenwald grabs Lullaby before any of the Fairy Tail members can stop him and takes off to complete their mission, which is to kill a bunch of Guild master's that have gathered together.

Fairy Tail takes off after him, finding him standing in front of none other than the Fairy Tail master, Makarov. He manages to convince Kageyama to not commit such a sin, and he drops Lullaby. Unfortunately the demon inside of the object releases itself and ends up causing a lot of destruction to the surrounding area. Erza, Natsu, and Gray all team up and effectively take down the demon rather quickly. Akira had decided to stay out of it as she didn't want to cause any unnecessary damage by using her magic. Thus, ending the Lullaby Arc for good.

Akira is absent for the first portion of this arc, only showing up when she and Erza are sent by the guild master to punish Lucy, Natsu, Gray and Happy for disobeying the rules and stealing an S Class quest. This is when Akira first shows just how powerful she is, simply by showing her aura. It immediately frightens everyone around her, so she tones it down to a more manageable state. It doesn't take long for them to join in with the others though after they learn about the villagers and what the Moon Drip is, they end up helping with the quest. Although they make it rather clear that once it is completed, there will be hell to pay.

The rest of the team take off after Natsu, who as usual had run off ahead of them to ruin their plans. Along the way, Gray tells them about Lyon, the mastermind of this whole ordeal, and his true plan. He wants to defeat the demon Deliora that has been sealed away by a powerful ice spell that was casted by Gray and Lyon's mentor, Ur.

Along the way they are interrupted by followers of Lyon's cause that try to stop them from advancing. The girls all decide to stay behind and fight, while Gray goes ahead, as this is mainly his fight. Akira has quite a bit of fun, letting loose just a little bit as she hardly gets the chance to use her abilities.

Gray manages to defeat Lyon, but Deliora still gets revived. However, as it was far too injured before it was sealed, the demon ends up crumbling to pieces and is defeated by itself. Gray and Lyon reconcile their differences. Thus, the S Class quest has been completed, but that only means that they now have to face the wraith of Erza and Akira. 

As they all return to the village, they come to find that they are still in their demon forms that had happened due to the Moon Drip. Erza decided that the only way to free them is by destroying the moon. She requips into her 'The Giant's' armor and throws a spear with the help of Natsu towards the sky. It cracks the moon, but that just reveals that the Moon Drip had created a veil over the sky that had made it all pink. The demons are supposed to change back but they find out that they are actually in their true forms.

The demons hold a banquet for the Fairy Tail members before they take their leave, returning to the guild and facing the wrath of the master.
