About
Born messenger of bad news. Older sibling of the messenger twins. He delivers news ranging from accidents, illness, loss and death. As a result, he as seen both the best and worst in people. As with Ecnelis, they both do not speak but communicate by gesture and touch.
Personality
Subdued, brooding and somewhat sad due to the bad news he knows and has received bad responses to. He avoids people but is very gentle when he does approach. Being only slightly older but of a larger build, he is highly protective of his twin, Ecnelis, and wants to shield him from bad things that he feels is attracted to his existence. Willing to make tough decisions for his twin's happiness and wellbeing, but also deeply torn by the contradictions of life amongst humans. When pushed, he can be very cruel towards humans.

Story Summary
Being born into the role of a messenger with Ecnelis, Ellipsis had the ability of foresight and delivered bad news without questioning it. But as he saw people increasingly distraught by his presence and the awareness of misfortune, he came to question it more and more and felt responsible for the lives touched by the news that he delivered. He believed that delivery of such news may have been what caused people to befall such horrible circumstances and tried to withold that information in the hopes of easing suffering in the world.
As he looked for the purpose behind his duties, he pushed his brother further away believing that he was protecting Ecnelis by not telling his twin the bad news that he needed to deliver and what he had contemplated. He was forced to learn of the consequences of not fulfilling his duty the hard way when the twins were caught in an unexpected turn of events that may have had a different outcome had Ellipsis delivered the news. As a result, the twins were caught in a fire. Ellipsis was severely burnt, with Ecnelis was also injured in the process of trying to save him.
The brothers twins have since had a strained relationship as they have not been able to reconcile their individual perspectives on how they care for each other.
