algernon is dismissive, somewhat closed off, and most definitely not personable. he tries his best to be decently mannered when he can, but he isn’t very set on making a lot of friends or keeping up bonds. he’s very much a realist, or at least considers himself one, this ‘realism’ often ending up very negative and pessimistic. he struggles with self loathing, and a few other nagging feelings of inadequacy after all he’s experienced. more positive emotions are a little rusty, but can easily be expressed if you show some kindness to him.
he was trained very early on in his youth how to defend himself and fight, and his younger self indulged in this often. a specific fight, though, left him without a wing. due to the stress of the situation and his long healing period, he had to drop out of school for a year, only returning now as what they call a super senior. fancy. more will come with time, and trust. al does not tend to lead on much, for he doesn’t make it out that there’s much else to know.
