Story
Kit (0-6 moons)
Wagtail’s parents, Cardinal and Wrentrush, were childhood sweethearts. They had been wanting a litter for a long while, but Cardinal had a hard time getting pregnant. After many moons of trying and praying, they finally had their first and currently only litter: Longclaw, Wagtail and Pipit.
The first moons of Wagtail’s life were fairly uneventful, although happy; she got along well with her siblings, though Pipit, being the runt, was a bit sickly from time to time. The ongoing war against Buttercup Hills and Lan-Hraeth didn’t seem to extend its paws into her nest just yet.
Private (6-12 moons)
The day Wagtail finally became a private was the happiest in her life so far. Her mentor, Tigerlily, was a formidable soldier, although a bit harsh sometimes. Wagtail welcomed the challenge with open paws.
It was around her privatehood when the tides of the war started turning. At first, when the truce with Buttercup Hills was formed, Wagtail was suspicious. But when General Gladiolus was brought back from the prisons of Lan-Hraeth, Wagtail swore in her heart loyalty to her old enemy. With her new allies and her General back, she was inspired to train even harder to be able to become a full member of her Warren.
For her disappointment, she was not fast enough to become a Sergeant. Just a few weeks before she would be ranking up, Lan-Hraeth took over the other half of their Valley and Wagtail had to truly feel the bitterness of war.
Sergeant (12+ moons)
As soon as Wagtail turned 12 moons old, she was granted the title of Sergeant. It was too late. In her naiveness she felt like the war was already over. Wagtail was not afraid of Lan-Hraeth, though. She wished for revenge, and for freedom for the entire Valley. Her paws were itching to finally join the battle, to give her blood for her Warren.
She hopes that the next time Lan-Hraeth raids the Valley, she’ll be there to stop them.
