A mess of a man, thrown from a sheltered life style into the reality of his very difficult heritage. Used to spending his time aimlessly wondering, looking for a place to truely belong.
Currently stuck in a situation that's wildly beyond his control and not at all enjoying it, and his main problem now seems to be daddy issues...
Lazy and a coward. his only motivation can be found when helping a pretty lady, has sliding morals... he tries, omg he does try, but deep down his views of the world are very screwed up. He fears everything but also nothing same time. His sense of humour is questionable and rather dark.
dislikes effort, clowns and priests / likes girls, smoking and reading
Ultimately he just wants to know why he's here on this plane of existance, who he really is, and gain some sembelnce of a comfortable life.
- Has a BIT more respect for women in recent years than he did before. like an ONCE. He's learning.
- Likes to look cool and composed but is actually a huge coward through and through. Will avoid and run away from situations at the drop of a hat.
- Doesn't know anything about anything most the time. head empty no thoughts.
- Looks hot but also as if he's been dragged through a bush backwards most the time.
- A TOTAL DEGENERATE in so many ways.... SO MANY.
- Smokes a fair amount to cover his other more dangerous cravings.
- Upset that he's turning 40 soon, even though he's got a longer lifespan than the average human, it still pains him.
- Passes himself off as an elf/half elf if anyone asks because it's easier to explain the pointed ears that way.
- Has limted knowlage about noble things and higher class facts but thats about it in terms of knowlage retention.
No real emotional attachments to this thing. He stole it from his own home, and he's had it awhile. He learnt the basics of sword fighting and fencing with his nobel upbringing and has managed to keep it with him ever since he left.
He's a decent shot but not amazing at archery. Keeps it with him as it's usful when in a pinch and a few times it has saved his ass.

Damage Enhancement
You brandish the weapon used in the spell's casting and make a melee attack with it against one creature within 5 feet of you. On a hit, the target suffers the weapon attack's normal effects, and you can cause blue fire to leap from the target to a different creature of your choice that you can see within 5 feet of it. The second creature takes fire damage equal to your spellcasting ability modifier.

Damage Enhancement
You weave together threads of shadow to create a sword of solidified gloom in your hand. This magic sword lasts until the spell ends. It counts as a simple melee weapon with which you are proficient. It deals 2d8 psychic damage on a hit and has the finesse, light, and thrown properties. In addition, when you use the sword to attack a target that is in dim light or darkness, you make the attack roll with advantage.

Debuff/ Field Control
Magical darkness spreads from a point you choose within range to fill a 15-foot-radius sphere for the duration. The darkness spreads around corners. A creature with darkvision can't see through this darkness, and nonmagical light can't illuminate it.

AOE Lighting Damage
A stroke of lightning forming a line 100 feet long and 5 feet wide blasts out from you in a direction you choose. Each creature in the line must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 8d6 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The lightning ignites flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried.

Debuff
You attempt to interrupt a creature in the process of casting a spell. If the creature is casting a spell of 3rd level or lower, its spell fails and has no effect. If it is casting a spell of 4th level or higher, make an ability check using your spellcasting ability. The DC equals 10 + the spell's level. On a success, the creature's spell fails and has no effect.
Parris grew up in a noble family but not under the normal circumstances. He lived with his ''mother'' not in the main house but in one of their summer houses. the ''father'' rarely came to visit and when he did it would usually erupt into arguments and even physical violence.
His father, perhaps rightly? refused to acknowledge Parris as his child, saying he was practically a stranger to the child's face. Many times it was mentioned that he was only allowed in this family due the pity he had for him and never explained further than that, not to mention the family would be defaced if such a scandal came to light.
Parris himself grew up incredibly sheltered, which is one way to put it. He was locked in the house and wasn't allowed to leave under any circumstances and was punished harshly if he did. The nature of his own being was kept a mystery from him and he was simply told he was very ‘’special’’ by his mother. Never quite understanding the fear in her eyes every time she looked at him. His mother was almost as equally distant as his dad in most cases, making a point to keep herself locked in her room. Occasionally she would have dinner with him once in awhile in an attempt to try overcome her fears, but often ended their meetings with the words ‘’I wish I had the strength to kill you when you where a baby.’’
To the public he was just known as the lord's very sickly child who couldn't leave the house due to health concerns. And to all of his knowledge he was actually sick. He could tell he wasn't like the other people around him. His family when he was young had paid a doctor to come and tell him that he had a rare disease. However, knowing nothing of the concept of vampires in general, he didn't know what to make of this apart from assuming it was related to this so-called disease.
The house staff were all told to be careful not to cut themselves around him or present any types of blood. The only real social time he had was with his maids, who were well aware of his disposition. One of the maids he grew to love deeply going into his late teenage years. He spent most of his time pursuing her and talking with her about their potential future together outside of this house.
This love was quickly thrown away once he realised that she was only sticking around him for the huge amount of money she was paid to look after him while keeping her lips shut. Her true feelings of him being disgusting, insufferable and simply an object of pity were only conveyed to him after he staged an escape plan for both of them, which only ended in her betrayal for more money and him being locked back in.
Eventually after many attempts he did escape that house at the age of 16 and ran as far away as he could, slowly selling off the jewelry he stole from the house and other possessions to get through in life. It was a steep learning curve in terms of learning to live around people, learning to lie, learning to not get scammed, learning to keep yourself under the radar and not reveal anything about his undead? disposition, which he eventually clued on had something in common with this creature called a vampire, but it wasn't quite right... he knew he wasn't a vampire but there was so much in common...
He spent all his money pretty early on with girls and booze and other such delights, quickly moving to doing any jobs he could find for quick money to get by, with no moral standards for what the job involved. People sometimes picked up on his odd behaviors and colder skin and pointed teeth, running from him in fear or coming at him with violence which left him confused and unable to do much about it. Parris eventually picked up on this and learned to hide the alarming features, and nevering smiling with his teeth on show and wearing thick layers of clothing. also learning self defence to protect himself from any hostility shown.
Growing up with no real respect for women in general, his only interactions being with his mother who hated him anyway and the maid who pretended to like him all along. His views on relationships were pretty screwed, he spent a lot of his time going through one girl to another and another, he accidentally killed a few unable to keep a hold of his cravings at points in time having no experience in managing it himself, the murder causing him to panic and run away again and again. With his sloppy behaviour leaving a trail people were starting to clue on but those weren't the only ‘’people’’ who noticed.
One day he picked up a particular woman who had an enchanting arua about her but after taking her to a room she proceeded to beat the ever loving shit out of him. The woman herself was an actual vampire who had taken an interest/frustration in his clumsy behavior. She then proceeded to help fill in the holes in his lack of knowledge about what he was. She found his existence interesting enough to leave him alive as she saw him as no threat and reveled in his despair.
After being let go by her under threats that if he wasn't more careful with his disguises she would kill him herself. He was then left to his own devices again… feeling even more lost than before. But with this new knowledge in mind now he was left wondering, who was the vampire that created him, his other parent? Perhaps his only TRUE parents.
After awhile of aimlessly wondering about, and running out of money, he accepted a job to investigate a house assuming it would be an easy job. Turns out it was'nt. This house was haunted by menacing ghosts and it claimed the lives of some of his companions before throwing him into the domain of dread - Barovia. So far this has been his absoulte nightmare and he wanted nothing more than to leave until things got complicated when the vampire lord Strahd von Zarovich gave him this note -
''during one of the cycles, Ireena gave herself to save the village. she was reluctant but after time she grew complacent. we soon found ourselves with a miracle of sorts, a child was conceived, maybe an answering of my wishes. however, after giving birth she threw herself from the highest point of the castle. your face still reminds me of how she looked during that time, perhaps you also reminded her of mine.''
now he's unsure on what to do, does he stay longer in this horrifying place in hopes of finding a place to belong with his supposed father, who half of his travel companions are out for blood with, or does he go back to his aimless life from before...
An interesting man, very cleaver and braver than me. Unfortinate what happend to him, seemed like an awful way to go. However, on the bright side at least he cheated death and managed to escape this hellscape. I wish him all the best.
I'm honestly kind of jealous... I want to leave to...
There's automated height so it can be as short as you want!
