A relatively normal young woman from Kansas who woke up on her 20th birthday to discover she had transformed into a centaur. Apparently this runs in the family, as she learns that her single mother is also a centaur and can change between human and centaur forms at will. Sidney is incapable of returning to human form, as it's something that has to be learned. She winds up enrolling in a university for mythical creatures.
