Vaughan (and Apophis)

Vaughan is known to be grumpy, have a wicked sharp tongue and sense of wit, surprisingly sassy, and snappy.  A retired soldier/tactician.  His heart was never particularly in fighting.  He loves planning, he gets a rush from watching a well executed strategy unfold, he's very calculative.  But he doesn't necessarily like doing it when lives are lost.  He now spends his days working accounting, but he still loves to keep his nose buried in books on history and astronomy.  In place of war tactics, he now loves to follow the movements of notable fixtures in the night sky.

Apophis acts a bit of the know-it-all role, and it can drive Vaughan nuts.  Luckily, he seems to have a particular liking for Minerva and can often distract himself trying to impress her.
