the angel.
a devoted soldier, eris is not afraid to dirty her hands for the greater good. she manipulates light, the quintessential element of good, but only to use the shadows they cast.
eris is another old oc from the 2010s, and unlike chrys she has gone through a lot of reworking and has come out a lot less edgy and a lot more morally-grey.
she's a character of contradictions; in her first and foremost iteration, she was a defected angel who sought the death of humanity for its sins. now, she is just as devoted to her goals, but these goals are more traditionally "good"--a god, a king, an empire. she is someone who truly and wholeheartedly believes that people can and deserve to be happy, but that in order to achieve that happiness, some blood must be shed. eris is not afraid to take that necessary evil into her own hands to prevent it from sullying others.
her contradictory goals are paralleled in her magic; her original iteration used shadows for teleportation, a sort of folding of time and space for instant transmission of objects, but could not otherwise change the shadows. her newest iteration keeps the shadow teleportation, which i feel suits her work skulking and assassinating in the shadows, but comes with the addition of light manipulation. in and of itself the light has no combative purposes besides maybe blinding someone, but can be used to change and manipulate shadows, which are her true kingdom.
the whole good/evil light/dark play is a bit trite, but it's a trope for a reason, right? 0:-)
