 | G A I A - R A Gaia-Ra is the Dimension in which Viern exists, and the host of all Scourge II, PARA, and EDD arcs. Her name means "Earth-Queen" (in Viernian languages). Her dimension is much like our own, consisting of a massive field of emptiness containing scattered solar systems and other celestial bodies. Viern itself is much like an AU of Earth, containing many similar countries and animal species. Gaia-Ra is attached to a neutral Pocket Dimension which allows for Shapeshifting (by teleporting matter between dimensions). Just as Scourge is associated with Red Energy, Gaia-Ra is associated with Blue Energy and matter within her domain is sometimes referred to as "Blue". As a Neutral Dimension, Gaia-Ra's purpose is only to exist and to provide a reality for her inhabitants. She is benevelont and exists only to defend Her reality. |
| A P P E A R A N C E S Gaia-Ra herself is the entire universe--she is a Dimension. Unlike Scourge, she rarely--if ever--makes appearances to her inhabitants, and normally is only seen in visions without ever having an actual physical avatar. Much like Scourge, she may appear to mortals in hallucinations in which the way she is personified depends on how they view her. She is almost always associated with the color Blue or--in contrast to Scourge--in blue-tinted grayscale. Her appearance varies, but in ancient cultures she is often depicted as a blue doe. Her personality is whatever one perceives her as, but to her people she is a vague and compassionate figure, if somewhat distant and inhuman. Cultists fear her, and to them she is more like a terrifying, haunting memory. |
| P E R S O N A L I T Y As a God and Universe, her inhuman mind cannot be comprehended by mortal thoughts. She is not meant to speak and communicate--rather she is like an animal whose only purpose is to exist. Therefore, unlike Scourge, she is far more reluctant to contact mortal minds and never speaks clearly when she does. She rarely ever contacts people directly--rather, she speaks to them through images and figures made by their own minds. Due to her inability to speak with human language, she instead gives people the ideas and lets their own mind figure out the words; as such, they hear from her mostly from hallucinations that are of their own design but fueled by her morals, usually against their knowledge. Hurricane is an example of this. She is much less aggressive than Scourge. Her energy acts passively and she does not directly contact or attempt to control people in the way he does. Though she clearly wants to protect her people in order to protect the world they live in (which is of course herself), she is remarkably distant and reluctant to contact them due to the fact that she was neaver meant to. In a way she's just a stupid animal who only vaguely understands what she must do, but that would be unfair to accuse her of as she is, of course, unknowable. In ancient cultures, she is often depicted as a blue doe with a long horse-like tail, and occasionally as a stag. She is known culturally as an all-knowing and calm being, a wise being who can bring peace to the mind if one can manage to reach her. |
| R E L A T I O N S H I P S She is the host dimension for Viern and all of its inhabitants. She is the host dimension for Scourge's parasitic attachment, which seeks to slowly consume and destroy her. She wants only to defend herself from Scourge, be it by detaching or destroying him. She is the enemy of all Cultists, who were her inhabitants now possessed by and loyal to Scourge. Hcayoa is able to connect to her directly and to summon her powers; she seeks to teach Mal how to do this as well. As do all cultists, Hazan wants nothing but Gaia-Ra's destruction. |
