There were definitely times his family had to endure robberies and raids on the road but they always pulled through it, and they did it as a family unit. He also a deep respect for family ties, regularly staying in touch with members of his extended family like Robin in the swamps. Perhaps a little more than his close family, Cuthbert has a core need to 'do whats right.' He was always a happy and helpful kit and would readily share his food, toys and affection with anyone that needed it. As he grew up, that altruism included the fauna of Scatterstar (even the bitey ones). Feeling that far too many native creatures are grossly misunderstood, he knew he wanted to change that.

Cuthbert grew up in a loving family alongside his siblings, the newest members of a family known for being good samaritans and performing good deeds. Cuthbert embraced the family ethos and always did his best to help those in need. The family were good merchants, earning enough to keep their bellies full and a roof over their heads whilst still making time for the needy. When the time came though, Cuthbert chose the Hunters Guild rather than the mercantile route of his family. It came as a surprise but his family knew him well enough to know that he would make the path his own. And so he did - not many enter the Hunters Guild with a view to NOT killing things but Cuthbert made it his personal mission to embrace non-lethal methods at every opportunity and then hopefully, one day, pass these onto others.
