MANtis came as an egg in a special Mantis species box, that Professor Salcedo bought from a very radioactive zone from Japan. These species, were extremely rare, known in the enthomology world as "magical mantis", famous from changing colours, a very rare specimen. So, when Professor Ionas took care of him in the special chamber, he noticed something was abnormal. The egg was incredibly big and strange. Days passed and the egg became bigger and bigger, and Salcedo, scared but curious, decided to let it eclotionate. Mantis was born. And wasn't a regular insect, but a humanly looking Mantodeos. The Prof. Ionas was so impressed, this discovery would surely give him an award in the scientific community. But, will he be able to protect his finding?

Summary
MANtis is a mutagenic DNA organism Mantidea Sinica Bazyluk, it is the product of a mantis baby under a monitored environment that was exposed to high levels of radiation when the hatchery was in a highly radioactive area of Japan, these eggs were exported on the black market with the premise that it was a very rare species of mantis with the ability to change non-modifiable genetic characteristics, such as morphological, feeding and reproduction behaviors, etc.
Professor Ionas Salcedo, his discoverer and protector, becomes his life teacher after he realizes that MANtis is not only a mutagenic abnormal hybrid creature, but that he has an extremely high response to logic solving and a really extraordinary memory. He then, begins to teach him science facts, about the cosmos, human anatomy... But eventually gets to teach him manners, human customs, about music, having fun, and feelings... MANtis is a curious being and when he feels the slightest sign of passional love towards Ionas, he does not hesitate on showing him his affections, pure and naive, not contaminated by the human typical superfluous concept of sexuality. MANtis adores and wants Ionas in every way now, taste him, mate with him even if they can't reproduce and most of all, to become like him to be worth of his love...
Design
• MANtis has a green-ish/yellow-ish skin tone in all his body! Only his blood is reddish and can present a light orange blushing.
• Has 2 "ahoge" kind of hair pulling out his head, ressembling antennae!
• Doesn't wear any clothes, but his genitals are covered by green scales in a leaf form. But can be depicted in special ocassion outfits and big sweaters!
• MANtis does not have a white sclera. Has a greenish one.
• Can be portrayed eating insects, sweets or any kind of vegetables, specially centipedes and letucce or any kind of leaves!
Trivia
• His story/character design was heavily based on the cult anime OVAS "Kimera" and the enthomologysts portrayal on the movie "Silence of the Lambs".
• The romantic relationship between Ionas and him, is heavily inspired in the nature of the romance portrayed in "The Shape Of Water" movie.
• Technically, he's japanese, since his eggs were layed there. He later grows up in a mexican lab.
• He's omnivore, eats insects and plants. Fish sometimes.
• Even with his insect appearance, his face is really attractive and perfectly simmetrical.
• He lacks some connective words when he speaks, he's still learning the vast language system. Can speak in spanish and a few basic words in english.
• If you could ask him his favorite musical genre, he will tell you many different answers, depending on what Ionas has in the radio at that moment.
• He imitates Ionas a lot, wants to be like him in intellect, dresscode and talking manners. He even copies his mannerisms like moving the hands a lot when talking.
• Falls in love with Ionas tenderness, patience and care with him. He wants to make everything right and learn how to make Ionas happy.
