Fur length: Sleek, medium length fur.
Body shape: Long and lanky.
Eye color: Amber.
Scars: Two scratches over his left eye, and a torn left ear.
Other important details: Front paws are declawed.
Rainmask is dark, blueish-gray tabby tom with golden-white muzzle, tail tip, and legs. His dark amber eyes stand out amongst his other colors. His fur is sleek and short, except for the long tufts of fur that extend down either side of his face. He has quite a few scars from old injuries, most prominent though is his torn ear and the scar over his eye that he had received from a fox attack. Since joining RiverClan he no longer wears a gooseberry under his right ear.
He is graceful and-seemingly-very polite, most of the time speaking in an elegant and almost-poetic manner, but behind his charming words he tends to be rather mischievous. He loves pulling pranks and using those refined words to tease those he's close to. With aquaintances he's often reserved, but once one gets to know one will realize he is a rather talkative and playful cat.
Usually his little tricks are harmless-or well, mostly harmless, but if another happens to get hurt he does his best to make up for it-at least, in his own way.
He has strong morals, and if needed he's willing to break the Warrior Code to do what he believes is right.

Mate(s)
His beloved mate and former apprentice. Despite once being Stickywhiskers' mentor, he would say Stickywhiskers taught him just as much as Rainmask taught him, not that he would admit that so bluntly. Still grieving the other's death, and has to wonder if he could've done something to save him had he stayed in ShadowClan.

While he isn't related to any cat in the clans he was very close with the old medicine cat. She, alongside Sunspot, guided and supported him after he joined the clan. Morninglight after much coaxing helped him accept his fate as a medicine cat. He respected the older cat greatly and was heartbroken when she had suddenly vanished.
When he first joined the clan and was training to be a warrior Sunspot had been tasked with being his mentor. She supported him through his struggles in training, and did her best to teach him, but unfortunately despite all his efforts he was unable to receive his full warrior name. Even so he still became very close to the she-cat, and was devestated when she passed away.
The medic who he worked alongside for a long time, before Pigeoncrown had suddenly disappeared. While he didn't always understand the other, he still loved teasing them and considered them a friend nonetheless. Still wishes he could have said a proper farewell.
He usually tends to be very polite and well-mannered around his leader. His usual mischief replaced with something more serious. Although he can't help occansionally throwing in a teasing remark or two here and there.
He never spoke much with the she-cat before he left ShadowClan, yet she welcomed him with open arms when he was visiting ShadowClan to find Stickywhiskers. Unfortunately it was during that visit he found out his mate had passed away. He's deeply grateful for the comfort Strawberryrose had offered at the time, although deep down he can't help but feel bitter that she and Mushroomfaith, the other ShadowClan medic, couldn't save Stickywhiskers.
RiverClan
After Sunspot's death he found himself confiding in the RiverClan deputy of the time, Cloudymeadow. She was surprisingly good at coaxing out his troubles. In the end the she-cat invited him to join RiverClan to get away from the rumors and instead become what he's always dreamed of becoming, a warrior.
First cat he ever trained to be a warrior. Established a close friendship with them over the course of their training, and still considers them almost like his own kit. Holds a lot of pride in how far they've come.

Backstory
He was born a kittypet, and during that time his front claws were taken from him. Shortly after he ran away he had encountered a wild fox, which if it wasn't thanks to a patrol of ShadowClan warriors passing by he would've most likely lost his life that day.After that he was taken in by the said clan, where he aspired to become a warrior who could protect others as they had protected him. He trained hard under his mentor at the time, Sunspot, to try to fulfil that dream, but unfortunately due to his lack of claws he struggled in his training. Due to his difficulty fighting, and his recklessness thanks to frustration, he would often land himself in the medicine cat den with small injures, where eventually the medicine cat at the time, Morninglight, took him in as her own apprentice.
While he had long accepted he would never be a warrior, when he is alone without any duties he will still often sneak away to practice fighting. Even if he cannot be a warrior, he still wishes to be able to protect those he cares about if needed.
Major events
- Shortly before Rainmask received his full name, his mentor, Morninglight suddenly vanished. In the end he never figured out what had happened to the cat that he so greatly looked up to, and he was forced to have his Medic ceremony be performed by the RiverClan Medic of the time, Moldfur (much to his chagrin).
While Rainmask wasn't always the most well-liked Medic, after Sunspot passed away rumors had spread and Rainmask was blamed by quite a few for her death.
Devestated by the loss of the cat he saw as a mother to him, and the clan's rumors, he decided to leave ShadowClan, and with the invite of Cloudymeadow, joined RiverClan to be a warrior.
Soon after Rainmask left, him and Stickywhiskers realized their strong feelings for one another, and became mates. While it wasn't long after that Stickywhiskers passed away, they still managed to have a pair of kits together, Stormkit and Sapkit.
Scent: Smells like a mixture of flowers and mint.
Name meaning: The name Rain comes from his blue-gray pelt, while Mask, not only refers to his Mask-like markings, but also his rather reserved personality.

-Thanks to not having any front claws he has learned quite a few tricks in fighting and picking herbs. He often uses his backlegs, which has led them to be very strong, he is able to deliver powerful kicks and jump rather far. Although despite all his training he still struggles to hunt and fight, he couldn't match up against most any fully trained warrior.
-He spends a lot of time making sure he is properly groomed, but despite his efforts on his appearance he doesn't actually spend much time organizing his workspace. His stock of herbs tends to be messy, and cluttered with seemingly no order, but if another tries to tidy it for him they might get an earful of passive aggressive remarks as a thanks.
-While he doesn't doubt StarClan's existence, he doesn't have much faith in their power either. He much rather rely on his own logic than the guidence of cats which he can't even see. ("How smart can they possibly be? They're dead.")
