Lawrence

"Yes I'm a man. Yes I call myself a witch...
WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT?!?!?."

Hung from the gallows, Lawrence thought that his life would continue on to be long and prosperous. Using his powers for good, he tried explaining himself, yet words were fallen on deaf ears and he watched his life fade away in an instance.

Yet what he didn't expect was to awaken in a forest surrounded by strange people and creatures of all kind. And apparently he had been dead for over 300 years. What on Earth could be happening?

Background

Lawrence grew up in Salem, practicing in the art of witchcraft to hopefully one day protect his little town against any witches that might wish to harm his fellow townspeople. He kept his magic practices under tight wraps and made sure to blend in as well as he could with the humans he lived around, going as far as to build a secret basement where he could practice spells or make potions in secret.

He learnt witchcraft at a young age from his mother. His mother was a loving woman, always telling the young Lawrence to keep his magic secret as he never knew who would accept such abilities. Yet once his father, estranged to him, discovered his mother's abilities, Lawrence was hidden away in the tiny house and was told to not come out until his magic detected no one else in the house with him. It was a day later until he felt his magic buzz with safety. Only when he escaped from his hiding place, he realised his mother was no where to be found in the house. And he never found her again.

After that, he made sure to keep quiet with his magic, telling absolutely no one about it. He even cleared any memory of his mother from the town so no one would suspect anything suspicious.

However, as the witch uprising within the town begun spreading as he got older, Lawrence tried creating a spell to attempt to stop false accusations from being spread. But with the rumour spreading going around, he too begun to get accused due to the strange energy that seemingly seeped from his home.

Scared that he'd get hurt if he didn't come forward with any truth, he told people he was using witchcraft to help the town. However, only the use of witchcraft and the admitance of trying to use it on the townspeople was heard in his confession and he was quickly sentenced to hanging.

However, when he was hung, he never expected that he'd awaken within a forest, seemingly alive again, yet 300 years into the future. He awoke to find another person... or... zombie, really, near him that had seemed to be just as confused as him. He then got to know the zombie man as Marion Irving.

The two grew close as they tried figuring out where they were exactly, the hulking zombie seeming to protect the young witch when they came across other strange creatures. However, nothing could protect either of them from the tall and muscular woman in white carrying a large sword. They found out her name was Lace and she (along with her stubborn siblings) were the protectors of the forest.

Lawrence right of the bat, hated Lace. The way she put her younger siblings down for not doing their "job" and the way she made herself seem like the most important person around made Lawrence's skin tingle and remind him all too well of the judges and priests back in Salem.

After a tour of the forest, Lawrence decided to stick close to Marion as he was the first person he saw after his death. And Marion seemed to feel the same, always choosing to stick by the young witch and act almost as a bodyguard for him if anyone chose to look at the boy funny.

And boy you were in for a good beating if you made fun of Lawrence at all....
