[Old Friend] "Nero was in the pack with me. The old one that is. Not...whatever the hell it is now. I still try to make time for her when I'm not being worked to death. I miss being able to go out for things like ramen or whatever. I still arrange spars with her. She's gotten pretty good over the years but not able to beat me just yet~ Anyways she's a cute kitty cat. I hope she's faring well out there on her own. ha...guess I don't have to hope. I of all people know she's more than capable." - Once pack members together, now nothing more than old friends. Kurai is guilty of flirting around with her back in the day, now he rarely has time to even see her. He treasures what time they do share together, both of them enjoying the thrills of finding new things to do in life. Despite not being as close as they once were, he still cares deeply about her and will go out of his way to help her if the need ever arises.
xavier, despite making for decent company, infuriates nero. sure she's over five times their age, but that doesn't give them the right to call her ajumma nor halmeoni. nevertheless, xavi's amusing enough to be around—reluctant yet growing tolerance is what the feline displays to the kid.
[Parent #1/Best Friend] "Ahjumma! Nice to see you!"
[Mentor] "I'm grateful Nero found me. Even if I almost broke her wrist when she did ha. Without her, I would've been on the streets alone without knowing how to even use my kabuki properly. I regret not training longer but one thing I learned out here is you can't trust anyone. I miss it. Feeling safe. Whatever. I can't dwell on the past. In the end, I think it was better to leave her side. I don't need anyone's protection or training. I can do this myself....I haven't seen her in years now. but I wonder if Nero would be proud of how far I've come. ha...probably not. Guardians enforce rules and whatnot. My path is probably far from what she wanted to see from me." - Once a street rat that Nero raised up to fight on her own, Ari hasn't seen the other since she went against her mentor and off on her own. Ari often wonders if her life would be better if she stayed as Nero's little bird. But it's too late to dwell on the past. She misses her mentor even more now that her only semblance of family has passed. She hopes to find Nero again someday, as much as Ari would hate to admit it, Nero was the only other person she had to confide in.
