Angel, ironically, is a fallen angel, he does not like to speak to people of his past, so they don't know much about him nor how he was turned or how he broke his contract. If you see art of him where his skin is not blue and he looks much younger, that is before he fell.

In his younger years, Angel was very excitable and energetic, he grew up with the harpy people and was very happy when he became an angel because he could then fly with his found family and friends. He was always a helpful member of the community and they all adored him. He had been taken into Jane's family when she and her sister found him after running away from an abusive family. It took him a while to get used to his new community, and as harpy are used to flying as their main means of travel, it was a big adjustment for the whole community. They built bridges and rails to connect each rock formation and to become safer for this young human boy. Angel grew up and with that he began to be able to let people back into his life. He soon recognized the crush he had on Jane, one of the first and longest lasting friendships he had had. He began working to become someone that she could also look up to and rely on, as he had many years before, at the same time he also became more reckless and began showing off as well. He caught the eye of the goddess Enara who was amused and became fond of him and his attempts to woo Jane. At one point, Enara appeared to Angel and offered him an angel's position, they put together a contract, the contents of which are known only to Enara and Angel. He was given wings and magic, along with many new responsibilities as one of Enara's angels and now the most powerful "adopted" member of the harpy tribe.

Nowadays Angel is constantly tired, often cynical, and maybe just a little bit depressed, but he's a good guy overall. Angel is protective of his friends, he hesitates to actually call them his friends, but deep down he knows that they are. Angel pulls his hair back in a ponytail to keep it out of his face, he has tried other hairstyles before, but this one is the easiest. Angel enjoys resting in the sunlight and also getting his feathers preened by friends. He is adventuring partners with Blaze and occasionally Fen. They all get along well and Angel is grateful that they are his friends. Angel is also friends with Kayda as most people are, and he is on good terms with Ian, Asher and Leo. Angel does not really feel any attraction towards anyone at the moment, and he hasn't ever since a "certain event" occurred.
