Spirit was discovered in the debris of an astoroid as a young puppy. Her origins were unknown to her for most of her life as she sustained substantial head damage from the landing gone wrong. Later she discovered she had a single living relative, Echo. Since then Spirit and Echo have been inseparable and always by each other's side. Unlike her sister, Spirit has no desire for her own puppies.
