An upbeat, dramatic second year member of noirZ.

Maru comes from a huge family, where he's the youngest of five children and is the only boy. His parents and siblings are all very supportive of him; however, he isn't completely sure he knows what he wants to do with his life, despite how much he enjoys being an idol. He hasn't even decided if he's going to return to Yumenosaki as a third year. Currently, no one else knows this.

He couldn't be a ruffian like Koya if he tried, but his onstage performances are extremely convincing, and his energy is capable of carrying the entire unit.

Personality

Maru is known for his optimism and cheerful disposition. He has seemingly limitless energy, and has trouble sitting still or focusing on idle activities. He tends to be a bit impulsive and will speak his mind even if it's inappropriate to do so.

He wears his heart on his sleeve, and he reacts so dramatically to certain situations that most people can't tell if he's faking it or not. His body language is often hilariously exaggerated. He's incredibly emotional in general and is very affectionate with his friends.

He used to imitate Koya's personality, but once his rudeness got him scolded by a teacher, and he went home and cried about it. Now he's trying to just be himself.

Trivia

• He was born severely colorblind. Since he's dealt with it his entire life, though, it doesn't bother him.
• He idolized Koya before noirZ disbanded. His encouragement is what convinced Koya to bring it back.
• Because of his dramatic, ridiculous behavior, Miyoko thinks he should join the theater club. He ended up picking the track & field club instead.
• He has a massive vocal range and a powerful voice, and knows how to rap.
