Center is the Demon that fused with Saffire's soul when she was born, to create a superhuman weapon for Mother's army, in Mother's conquest to take over this dimension.

Center's fusion with Saffire caused his body to grow rapidly fast, large, and powerful, so quickly that her bones began to tear at skill and muscles, and the vast majority of his body had to be replaced with cybernetic parts in a casing of magically attached false fur at a young age.

Center influences Saffire and causes her violent, intrusive thought and manic episodes for most of his life. When the EYMA, a sentient communication device implanted into Core Subject's heads, corrupts and begins to distort Saffire's brain, it cancels out Centers power over Saffire, and it is now extremely weakened but forever a part of Saffire.
