Buster

A bunny with a paranormal investigation itch he’s gotta scratch! Though he’s kind of clumsy and has the voice of a generic anime protagonist, Buster is considered by many a joy to be around— but don’t say you don’t believe in ghosts around him, because then he will do everything in his power to prove that they are real. And, well, they are in the Lexverse.

Buster was born the only child (surprising given that he’s a rabbit) to a living mother and a ghost father— his father died while his mother was pregnant, and in her absolute grief and sadness she thought she miscarried for sure. His father came back as a ghost to comfort his wife, and surprisingly, so too did the child she thought she presumably lost. Something, thus, happened resulting in Buster being born with ectoplasm arms and the ability to levitate.

However, during childbirth, Buster’s mother died but was able to move on to the afterlife— wanting to follow the love of his life there, Buster’s father decided to go with her, but he didn’t want to have to leave his baby behind— so Buster was whisked over to his aunt Deoxy’s laboratory mysteriously in the night. Deoxy, having just lost a custody battle for her young child at the time, was overjoyed at the second chance of being a mother despite all the alterations made to her body by those darn aliens, and all the very morally-questionable experiments she preformed regularly.

Even so, she was a decent mother to Buster, often letting him watch her experiments from a safe distance. But as he grew older and gained an interest in the paranormal, something which Deoxy didn’t agree with— their relationship became a little bit strained. But Buster’s ghost search will never stop, and he’s the one to call if you suspect something strange in your neighborhood!

Needless to say, he can see ghosts and talk to the dead.
