Doctor Fang

Doctor Fang was once a human known as Hayashi Akiho, a well-respected scientist at Kline Labs. She was the head of the genetic testing sector, which worked on enhancing humans' natural traits such as eyesight and stamina. She began her own experiments in secret, believing that she was onto something incredible, not wanting anyone else to see her notes and take all the credit. She became obsessed with her project, staying up for nights on end with no rest. As she worked more and more on her experiments, she lost interest in nearly everything else. Even at home she would pore over her notes for hours, eyes bloodshot, nearly foaming at the mouth.

And then, finally at last Akiho had it; what she believed to be the miracle cure-all drug. Gathering all of her peers and overseers of the building, she stood upon the presentation stage and gave a grand unscripted speech. Everyone noticed that something wasn't quite right, but paid no mind, thinking that she had just stayed up too late again. Akiho's lab coat was unbuttoned, singes and stains on the cuffs. Her undershirt was dirty as well, seemingly unwashed. Her long hair was thrown into a messy high ponytail, and most strikingly of all, her eyes shined with a crazed, excited look.

Akiho had so much faith in her creation that she had to be the first to test it. How else would anyone truly trust it, if she didn't seem to trust it herself? When her talk was complete, she held up a vial of bubbling green goo and, to the shock of the crowd, downed it all in one swig like a shot of liquor.

The audience watched in horror as Akiho transformed into a giant, hideous beast. Her toes tore through her shoes, becoming large paws, and her heels twisted upward, becoming canine ankles. Her shoulders stretched almost too wide for her coat, and her hands grew dark, formidable claws. Most shocking of all, her face became longer and longer, until a muzzle had sprouted, birthing gleaming, sharp teeth. Her eyes still glowed with that crazed look.

Akiho spread her arms wide, looking out to the crowd, but the reaction was not what she had wanted at all. Screams of shock and horror. People climbing over each other in an attempt to leave quickly. Utter panic. And Akiho realized something. She had not gotten the exact reaction that she had wanted, but this reaction gave her a new feeling she couldn't describe. She liked it, liked the fear in the peoples' eyes, the cries they made as they ran. She lost herself to a rampage, driven wild by this new feeling: bloodlust. And oh how she enjoyed the chaos of it all.

She gathered up her supplies and fled. A few dedicated students and peers followed Akiho to her new secret hidden lab, seeking power and knowledge. They believed that she really was onto something, and that perhaps the world just wasn't ready for whatever it was yet. Her experiments continued, pushing the boundaries of her creation even farther. She needed test subjects, and began stealing people from the streets for use in her studies. She had no qualms about breaking into buildings to take whatever resources she needed: money, ingredients, or even people.

Her army continues to expand, and she has acquired quite the name for herself. She is a modern-day supervillain, donning a new name: Doctor Fang, doing whatever she needs to do to continue her work and trampling any poor soul who gets in her way. Run-ins with law enforcement are common, but they have yet to apprehend her.
