Post Final fest	Square King Cup Yu finds himself attending the preliminary announcement of the Square King Cup yearly, having no plans to participate in the tournament, he doesn't bring his team along. Apparently both Fyodor and Ace follow the same tradition; for their own respective reasons... This time Ace notices and approaches Yu in the crowd, followed by Fyodor; who suggests the three start a team for the tournament together. Before Yu can object, Ace agrees on both of their behalf.
Post Square King Cup	Onward: to the Splatlands Yu and Conductor have decided that they need to visit the Splatlands if they plan to progress any further in finding their lost respective siblings. While researching the Splatlands they stumble upon some Splatlandian catalogues. One currently trending catalogue depicts the hairstyle that Ace has, this is their first lead. They approach Ace and question him about the Splatlands, he confesses that that is in fact where he’s from, but he’s unwilling to share any further information unless Yu beats him in a one on one battle. Already being overwhelmed by the circumstances, and finding this unnecessary and childish: Yu can’t seem to keep his head in the game.

Yu's answer:

I'm not the petty type, but Ace brings out the worst in me. Once he went out of his way to tell all of my teammates that I requested a meeting at Crusty Sean’s. Since I wasn’t aware of this, they all met up without me; they assumed I didn’t show up to my own event… Ace is on The Crust Bucket’s blacklist. Something I have on him is connections.
