The ruins of a fallen, ancient civilization
Profile
Created by an ancient civilization through their life-animating technology/magic, this beast was once one out of four mighty guardians, each designed as their respective group's icons, protectors and almost even deities. He was forged out of marble and wood in the light of the full moon, which he ever since turns to to keep his artificial life-force revitalized. Most of the time, he would spend as a dormant statue upon his royal pedestal within the city, waking to life only when summoned by his people to defend them from danger.
When their civilization fell, the guardians became lost, spread out or trapped beyond any trace. Rhac'gurul, once a majestic entity, escaped the stasis of his gargoyle shape amidst the chaos, but without a summoner he has lost the ability to ever return to it. Driven mad by the death of his people and his lack of a dormant state, he now wanders the modern world as a lost artifact, lost of both home, speech and mind, fiercely but aimlessly defending the ruins of his fallen homeplace and being vengeful towards any intruders that should stumble upon it.
