Butterscotch Cookie was born into the Order, her mother being one of the Sisters. From the beginning, she was an ambitious dreamer, very feisty and even a little bit brash. She'd always looked up to the knights and wanted to follow in their footsteps, though her mother did worry about the risks of this decision. Butterscotch trained with a mentor, though she was impatient at first. Her mentor had to teach her to be patient and to not immediately rush in at the sight of a threat, as that could be the difference between a win and a loss.

Butterscotch worked her way through the ranks, and just before the ceremony which would promote her to head knight, she was pulled over by Inkberry Cookie to break some tragic news to her: Her mother had gone missing, and the Order most likely had something to do with it. This shattered Butterscotch's drive for a while, especially since she had been acting strange even before she went missing. She'd been telling Butterscotch to be diligent and question everything, holding her extra close and missing the morning prayers. Her mother had been dedicated to this cause since the beginning, but to be discarded so easily? The same could be done to her at any given moment. She was a tool for them to use; a weapon, even.

Butterscotch realized that this was all the more reason to keep going, because as far as she knew, it could have been a demon or a monster. In her denial, the spark ignited an even brighter flame. So when she was appointed head knight, she had to force a smile to ignite that flame in everyone else. She wanted to be the guide for everyone else, but more than anything, she wanted to see what was going on beyond these walls. And thus, her desire brought forth someone who could make that possible...
