"Why can’t I just stay with you?"

Roue can often get paranoid about the bad things that could happen. He thinks he can predict the bad side of the future or something, because something bad usually does happen whenever he thinks they will. He’s afraid of changes, especially major ones, because he’s worried about what bad things might happen.

He can be pretty loud when talking to, and a bit of a teaser. Sometimes he ends up snapping at others when he suddenly feels anxious again, but is too embarrassed to properly apologize, so he often gives half-assed “sorry”s.

Ashe is the only one he feels the least tense around, and believes she’s some kind of cure to his ‘curse’ of predicting the bad things in life. Nothing bad ever happens when she’s there with him. When Ashe had to take him to Kami to be taken care of, he got really upset. He blames Kami for not being able to go with Ashe’s travels and becomes really stubborn around her. Roue often takes his anger out on the rest of her friends, though not as much as towards Kami herself.

Aside from Ashe, reading also helps him calm down. It relaxes him and takes his mind off of the real world even just for a little while.

ABILITY:

Roue’s tail has a marking that resembles and works like an eye. He can move it around to scan his surroundings and, using his antennae, can see in the dark. His actual eyes don’t have night vision though.

He’s always been a little paranoid about a lot of things, though it only got worse after his mother was killed by a rogue when he was very young trying to protect him. He was always worried about what could happen to him or his mother, and the fact that something actually happened to them had messed with his head from that day forward.

Roue’s just been wandering around places for most of his childhood, trying not to be seen by others out of fear that they’ll hurt him. He eats wherever he can find food to eat, and sleeps wherever he can get some rest. Though he usually likes to hang around Mt. Nixious when the snow doesn’t get too dangerous, since he likes the snow.

Roue once again got attacked by a rogue one day while hanging around Mt. Nixious as usual, and this time his mother wasn’t around to protect him. Fortunately Ashe was, and was able to save him.

Roue didn’t trust her at first despite the fact that he saw with his own three eyes that she had saved him. He was too scared of her and was still taken aback by her sudden appearance. But after calming down for a bit, he began to trust Ashe. She reminded him of his mother, and got attached rather quickly. Ashe was able to help Roue recover for a while in Serene City, and gave him a new set of clothes to wear that consisted of his cloak, sweater, and shorts. He still kept his bow from his hoodie though as that’s the last thing he has from his mother.

To his dismay, Ashe couldn’t take care of Roue herself, so she took him to Glacile and his friends at first to see if they could take him in. Roue was delighted to hear them say they couldn’t, hoping that would mean he could stay with Ashe, but his excitement soon faded when he was taken to Kami and her friends who were able to take him in. Roue and Kami’s relationship didn’t turn out as sweet as his and Ashe’s.
