Nox is a troublemaker on the sky island who will stop at nothing to get a rise out of people. She's a problem child and devil's advocate who thinks the world of herself and won't hesitate to antagonize people for a laugh.

Most propose that she didn't really get enough attention as a child. Which, would be entirely fair-given she has dozens of siblings and barely knows anyone in her family beyond names. She takes it out on others to get attention she craves and fend off insecurity about value she was never given the chance to show growing up. While she doesn't really have a healthy outlet with which to express it, she's actually desperate for a chance to learn and develop new skills. Those who are patient with her will find a very engaged and willing learner who will happily follow around anyone who shows her the smallest amount of kindness like a lost puppy.

She has difficulty making friends due to her entitled nature being quite frustrating to most, and her unpredictability making her a liability when it comes to actual projects. The other pokemon around the island tend to avoid her, rather than taking the time to teach her. Something she duly notes and retaliates with her own brand of 'vengence'. 

Born into a massive family, Nox was always forgotten and stepped around or pushed aside by her elder siblings and parents. She rarely stood out and the only thing she ever excelled at was causing a bit of mischief thanks to her powers of illusion. She leapt on this as the one thing she had unique (since her other siblings were half siblings/only eeveelutions), and proceeded to make it the massive part of her personality, come hell or high water. This came with a lot of contention, and disdain from those around her, and she started to relish it because it was that or be ignored and fade into the backgroud like she always had.
