About

Hyra hails from the city of Grimseyda in north Mostadia, where she lives above a small potions shop that she runs. She sources her ingredients from the nearby forests and typically focuses on flor and fauna... but absolutely not fungi. Hyra does not seek to gain higher power with her magic, nor does she care to learn of the arcane magic in the world. However, Hyra does seek out a magic user who is capable of permanently transforming her body as she desires - relying on daily potions is tiresome. Such a transformation cannot be without sacrifice, but she is unsure of what price she is willing to pay.

History

Hyra was born as a male to a human witch and orc father in the small forested town of Oltager. Her mother ran a travelling potions business from the back of a horse and carriage; incidentally this is where Hyra spent most of her childhood. This is where Hyra learned the ways of the herbalist and minor magic. Still, she always felt as if she was 'other' within her own body, and relied on her mother to remedy this with daily potions. Soon enough, Hyra took a more feminine appearance that she was more comfortable in, and has relied on her mother's potions ever since.

Present

The witch dreams of expanding her potions business to the capital of Mostad and selling to the wider world. However, the rumblings of trouble in the southern country of Yumiro once again sparks her wanderlust, and she fears that she will never get to see the fabled mountains of the elves. The thought occupies her mind most days, and she knows that one day she will not be able to focus on anything but until she feels the rumbles of the arcane underfoot.
