New cadet on the 45th colony of Earthe, They failed most of their classes.
Bright, optimistic, loud, and bouncy, they didn't last long out there.

friends with Thyme, but they're soon separated.

Born a female, Ash never felt comfortable in the place they were put. They wished that nobody would really bring up their gender or sex, hoping that maybe it wouldnt show up in a conversation. Thyme was one of the first people that knew about how Ash felt.
After being attacked by a Syno, Ash was left with a leaking helmet. The air around him got into their lungs, causing them to mutate.
The mutation is a large maw that can be used as a normal mouth. they aren't too sad about it, and try to keep upbeat. Its hard to stop drooling sometimes.
The mutation also caused their genitals to almost completely fuse together and disappear, which their local lab team thought was interesting.
Not having any family, Ash was later captured and used for tests in a local research facility.

Humans in the stockholm universe are part of multiple large "Cities" each with its designated name. This includes Doven, Maisca, and Clovepeak.
Humans who live in any city do not have a last name, instead their last name is the city they currently reside in. This makes it easier for transportation back to their home after their time in the military has been completed, it also makes them much easier to find in their records.
For less confusion, parents are required to give their children strange names, as it isnt allowed to have a child who has the same name in the same city, since it would make tracking them down difficult. So a lot of people have strange names.
