Besties with Orion
Clay is a very laid-back guy. He's super friendly and always tries to be positive despite his own inner struggles.
Clay was bullied to hell and back as a kid , his broken backfin is a result of it. One day he simply stared up at the sun, both in dread and in hopes of something good finally happening. Of course, looking at the sun is never a good idea so one of his eyes was blinded.

He met Orion later in life. He watched Orion literally fall from the sky and helped them deal with stuff. Clay offered his scarf for Orion to cover themselves up with and they've been inseparable ever since. Clay learned to understand Orion despite the other being mute. He's always there for Orion when stuff goes badly. (Fr for Orion's info read their TH im not explaining it all here)
