A force of nature, bound in the body of a nine-year-old boy, Kit embodies the innocence and chaos of nature. He is curious and clumsy, given to bouts of irrationality and ever-changing moods. He enjoys citrus fruits and competitive play. He is solemn at times; serious and wise in just the right ways to remind you that he is not, after all, a real child.
Kit's hair grows wild and unkempt, but clean, and he often wears leaf crowns. He wears oversized clothes and boots that are perfect for puddle-jumping. He is rarely without a book - or better yet, several. He carries his day-to-day belongings in a worn old backpack, but touch it at your peril. He is steadfastly suspicious and distant, though he will share snacks and jokes with anyone he meets.
