Cobalt Shade

Cobalt Shade is a male unicorn pony that resides in the Crystal Empire. Which makes him a crystal pony. He is often found in the library studying gem finding spells.

His coat is mainly dark indigo. In crystal form, his coat is brightened up and has multiple shades of violet and normal indigo. His eyes are a light cobalt blue and his manes are a darker shade of his coat, paired with  moderate cobalt blue streaks. Due to him being a crystal pony, his hair also has the typical gradient that covers the mane into a lighter shade at the tips.
Cobalt Shade mostly has a scarf around his neck to keep him warm during the coldest months in the Crystal Empire.

His magic abilities ain't that strong. He can cast medium spells or lower and has the ability to teleport. He also has the skill to find diamonds underneath the ground or - literally anywhere, which only some unicorns have. That's why he keeps studying these specific spells and brings the special gems he finds to ponies that could use them. This way, he helps other ponies.

Even if his magic abilities aren't that epic as those of other unicorns, he is highly intelligent and uses his magic for good. Though he may not look like the friendliest pony in Equestria - he is still goodhearted and willing to help others, but he prefers to help when he sees that nobody else helps first. He cares about his reputation and spends a lot of time thinking how he could better himself and his behaviour, as his responses and help aren't always that fitting for the situation. Aside to giving gems to ponies who need it, he helps other ponies in his own way. A complex way that most ponies don't understand because he doesn't always get what others feel or why they are sad, but he tries.
