Zack was captured and brought into the Rainbow Factory and he was held captive for a long time. He watched his friends be taken away and he early on realized what had been done to them. When it was his time, they gave him a choice to either work for them or die like the others. Zack chose to work for them since he wanted to stay alive. His friends watched this happen and started resenting him, asking him how could he do this.
Zack went through a series of surgeries to modify his body to make him the perfect worker. His movement is completely up to the higherups to control, with his ears, eyes, front legs and wings being mechanical that can be turned off whenever. He has a shock collar on too that keeps him from trying to escape. Yeah that's pretty much all i got
He doesn't feel bad working at the factory but he doesn't like being treated like an object
