A shy runaway dragon.

Forced to leave his hometown under terrifying circumstances, at the time only 15 years old Lind wasn't exactly in the best shape when he arrived to the southern city of Cinquaal nearly two months later. A vicious epidemic had hit Moorn bad and the residents quickly succumbed to hysteria. Within only a few weeks the isolated town built inside a mountain turned from a safe haven to a perilous prison where suspicions towards neighbors and their intentions ran amok. After all the town hadn't had to deal with any sort of pestilences in decades, thanks to their location as well as the local sect of the healing church, but in the face of an aggressive disease even their knowledge seemed insufficient. Lind's father Mar was one of the first ones to fall ill, but due to some dumb luck and his natural affinity to healing magic, Lind managed to avoid the contagion himself. This luck seemed to extend to his mom and uncle too, but this didn't sit well with the local sect that his mother worked for as a sexton. It was a common knowledge amongst the townsfolk that Tilly and her family members were dragons and thus quick conclusions were drawn between their seemingly way too good luck and species, despite the fatally sick Mar being a dragon too. Options to contain the disease were wearing thin though and old, superstitious beliefs started to seem valid.

Without a warning and left with no other options, Lind was persuaded by the elder believers of the sect and led to a secluded chamber of the town's pillar-like graveyard. If a dragon wouldn't fall ill, then those who consumed a part of it would become resistant too, or that was how the elders were trying to justify their doings. Not so much to Lind as to themselves as the young dragon really wasn't in the state of mind to even comprehend the situation he now found himself in. Still in shock after witnessing his weakened father being stabbed right before his eyes and himself being more or less forcefully lead away only moments after that, Lind merely let villagers do what they wanted - or would have, if his uncle wouldn't have found his way to him in the nick of time.

A fight followed and it didn't take long before Tilly arrived at the chaotic scene too, helping her injured son to get away whereas Lynn had to be left to his own devices as he tried to buy time, convincing elders that they might as well take him instead (only it to be revealed soon that he was nothing but a half-dragon, incapable of a complete transformation, in other words next to useless as the villagers had come to a conclusion that the healing properties would only be effective if a dragon was skinned and then cut to pieces in its beast-like form). Bleeding from his shoulder, Lind was too shaken to use his magic, but Tilly patched her son together as well as she could in their now grim home, both avoiding to acknowledge Mar's body. There wasn't time for anything but packing the essentials before they hurried to the main road that would lead to the mountainside. They traveled only for some miles before Tilly stopped. Unlike she first intended to, Tilly wouldn't accompany Lind any further, she just couldn't. She cared for her only child, more than for anyone, but now that Lind was outside the town, he would more than likely make it even on his own, unlike Lynn who was left behind. It was enough that they all had lost Mar, but it wouldn't be long before Lynn would join his half-brother. A dragon he may not have been, but the revelation wouldn't contain the villagers panic induced malice and torn but feeling obliged to, Tilly headed back to Moorn.
Lind, now left alone, had to find his way to the closest harbor that awaited at the foot of their mountain. He had been outside a few times, but never had he wandered that far away but without any other options he clung to his mother's hastily given instructions. It was better to leave Haerr altogether, since it couldn't be promised that the town would recover anytime soon, or that either her or Lynn would make it back to him. Instead, Lind would be wise to head to Cinquaal, no matter how unachievable the southern town seemed to a young kid - as long as he had coins to pay for his passage, it would be fine. Lynn's aunt and possible other relatives who lived in the south would make the journey worthwhile.

Lind made it, but no relatives awaited him at Lynn's late aunt Alda's house. Instead, he met another equally confused dragon, Isidora, who had left her hometown behind as well fairly recently. Instead of quarreling over the house, the two of them chose to live there together and try to make ends meet the best they could.

Time passed and no word was heard from Moorn. Apathetic, but somewhat relieved too, Lind accepted the situation and chose to simply bury the traumatic events as well as he could. No mention was to be made about his species nor his magic that he tried to use as little as he could as the healing aspect of it had started to scare him - not because of what he had learned to do with some practice, but how others might perceive it if a tragedy similar to the pestilence would find its way to Cinquaal too. It hurt, but it would keep hurting even more if he tried to keep Moorn in his thoughts. This almost worked and the house he and Isa shared started to feel like an actual home, but the feelings of rootlessness and wanderlust were soon to return. For a moment though, things were alright for both of them.

Personality-wise Lind has grown up to be a warm but relatively shy, and reserved person. He finds it hard to articulate himself or even to speak up about anything that is truly bothering him, rather keeping his silence even if it frustrates those around him. He might full-well know what he would like to do or say but making himself outwardly react to even positive things gets difficult at times, resulting in simple, vague answers instead of his normal straightforward way of talking and expressing himself. Despite everything Lind is curious, short-sighted but intuitive too, retaining certain kind of hopeful naivety in the way he views the world. Lind could be called somewhat scatterbrained too but it's more due to his lack of knowledge and experience than anything else.
