Belani is a hunter and survivalist who's fiercely independent and wants nothing to do with other people's politcs or quarrels. She travels the lands taking down dangerous beasts and avoiding those that seek her out for her talents. 

She does not desire fame or fortune, only to be left alone in the peace of her forests and travelling. She wants to hunt challenging targets and has a small desire to do good for others- despite her stern and stoic exterior she does have a soft spot in her heart for those who need true help. 

She is putoffish and most typicalyl telling people to leave her alone, or just avoiding them at all costs. 

Belani is a hunter who lost her parents at an early age. Living in the wilderness under the care of her uncle, she learned how to survive, to live off the land. When her home was ravaged by an intrusive force, armies of the nearby kingdom, she learned to use her skills in hunting beasts to survive,. She fled her home after her uncle was killed, in a  fury she set on taking out squadrons of troops single-handedly on her way through the burning forest. 

Using the help of her hunting companions, her knowledge of the land, and traps- they didn't know what had hit them. Though she proved herself a fantastic fighter, she never looked upon this incident with favor, she saw it as a loss of her calm, a  rejection of the values her uncle taught her. Only kill to survive. In some regards she could rationalize it as this, but she knows in her mind that it is not true.

Since then, she spends her time as a wanderer, living in the forests, jungles- anywhere she can stay away from civilization but it never fails that some nosy villager or army general seeks her out trying to recruit her now legendary archery skills, and she must flee again to the furthest reaches she can find. Forever running from this destiny that seems to seek to want to make her into the warrior she isn't. She prefers to stick to hunting creatures who torment villages, live off the land, and occasionally bring food to those unable to hunt for themselves. 

She feels as if she has a higher purpose somewhere, that some terrible event looms on the horizon- and for that reason she will never go with  the generals. She will not choose sides. She feels soon that there will be a greater threat to manage. And then, she will be ready to fight.
