• Erin and his tribe live in a green valley rich in natural resources. Resources that are rare to humans are plentiful in this valley. White sand, naturally fresh water, and many endangered species of plants and animals such as wildflowers, European bison, and black rhinos. The two mountains surrounding this area are massive, both being around the same size as Mount Everest. It is even told that other mythical creatures reside around this valley and high up in the mountains.
• There is a narrow cave leading to and from the outside of the valley. This cave is located underneath one of the mountains, and was carved out by the herd thousands of years ago from the outside in. This was a smart action, as it allowed them to escape from the "night beasts." These beasts would come every night in packs of low numbers and hunt the centaurs as prey, often taking the children and elderly. When dawn came, those few who were missing would be gone forever. Instead of taking out the combative plan, the centaurs would use their wits to get to safety. However, there is no telling if their path will stay a secret forever.
• There is a special fruit that only grows once every 7,000 years. This fruit is said to grant immense strength and power to he who consumes it. It is grown in the form of a ruto fruit [comes from Igbo root "uto," meaning sweet,] a red oval fruit the size of a cantaloupe. Every ruto has a circle of three small thorns at the stem. The magic fruit is said to have four. They are a primary source of food for centaurs and fauns, and grow on large evergreen trees. However, the fruit itself won't give you anything. The glowing seed inside of it must be eaten first. This part of the fruit is unable to decompose, but under the right conditions, it can sprout and grow into another tree. This new tree will be more likely to harbor magic fruits, and as more magic ruto trees are planted, they evolve and the gap of time in which magic fruits grow will slowly shorten. If one is patient and adamant toward their goal, they can eventually have a tree full of magic fruits. These trees will take many generations to grow manually, and must be protected as they are delicate and very rare.
