Yeong-mi Choi (최 영미, Choe Yung-mee) is a member of the Ogbaem Mafia, and her captain is Chun-hwa Han. She has been part of the Ogbaem Mafia since 2012, after she finally tracked down her older brother, Kwang-soo Choi, after him ran away from her back in 2003.

AppearanceYeong-mi is an slightly above averange height woman with a slighly curvy body. She has medium lenght black hair and black eyes. She has a mole on her neck. TattooYeong-mi has the typical snake tattoo everyone in the organization has. It's of a orange-ish salmon color Since she is of a low rank, the tattoo extends from her clavicle to her shoulders without going much further down her arm. She also has a tattoo of a panther with a moon, and adorned with orange chrysanthemums on her back. A panther tattoo can symbolise power, guardianship, freedom, and courage, among others, and chrysanthemums means longevity, loyalty, joy, and optimism. AttireYeong-mi's main outfit consists in a suit in a bisque color with black lapels and pokets. She has a white shirt underneath, and wears brown shoes. She wears her hair in a bun, orange-ish lipstick, and black eyeshadow that matches her black nail polish. She also has a pin on one of the lapels that indicates her affiliation with the Ogbaem Mafia. Her other main outfit, consists in a sleeveless shirt of beige color, with a white shirt underneath it, and with a big belt adorning it, and a pair of beige trousers matching it. She wears the same hairstyle, shoes, and make-up that in her main, but a pair of golden earrings instead the blue ones. PersonalityYeong-mi is your typical extroverted and cheerful friend. She is always ready to have a good time, and loves to be with people and having fun. She is a straightforward girl with a quite presumptuous side.The only time she keeps her mouth shut is when someone is either seriously hurt or angry. Otherwise she is quick to crack a joke and say whatever comes to mind. Her kind of chaotic nature also makes her prone to get surrounded but equally chaotic people. Beneath the laid back attitude, Yeong-mi is actually very sharp and a cunning tactician. She's a very intelligent woman and also a very fast-learner, making her an expert in almost everything she tries. That said, she loves learning new things, especially about science and languages. Even if friendly by nature, she's not one of making close friends easily, but once she's close to someone, she would be the most loyal and protective person ever. She's also quite stubborn, so she would stay at her beloved one's side even if they push her away, as seen with her brother in the past. Fighting StyleIn general, she prefers to be in a more supporting role and leave the fighting to her brother Kwang-soo, but if she has to fight, she prefers to use a gun than making close range fighting. EquipmentLaptop: As a hacker, the true weapon of Yeong-mi is a computer, either her desk computer or her laptop she uses during missons outside. She can do an unimaginable amount of things with it, although sometimes Kwang-soo wonders if she's just exageratting about her capabilities. Cellphone: Although she prefers to use her laptop, sometimes unexpected situations require other actions, and if she can't use her laptop, she formatted and programmed her phone so that she can do practically the same with it. The 'practically' is key, since there are things that are harder or impossible, though, that's why she always prefer to have her laptop with her. Springfield XD Mod 2: Although she prefers to leave the figthing to her brother, he made her always has a semi-automatic pistol like this one just in case he can't protect her. BackgroundYeong-mi was born in Atsugi from a single mother and a married father who had an affair with her. The mother didn't want to take care of a baby since she was still young, so when Yeong-mi was born, she left her with her father's family. Her father welcomed the baby happily, although his wife didn't like the idea of having to take care of a child who wasn't hers. Besides, even though she forgave her husband's affair, she still have someone to blame, so Yeong-mi became the target of his hatred. ChildhoodYeong-mi had a happy childhood since, even though her father's wife ignored her, her father and her brother Kwang-soo were always very warm and tender with her. When Kwang-soo was 15 and Yeong-mi was 10, their father died in a car accident while going to work, leaving them alone with his mother. Although for outsiders they still looked like a family, the truth was that inside home it was Hell. Without her husband there, Kwang-soo's mother could finally treat Yeong-mi as badly as she pleased. At first it was only insults, but eventually, she started to hit her, mostly in places that aren't easily seen. Yeong-mi didn't want to destroy her brother's family, so she hid everything. One day, when Kwang-soo was 17 and Yeong-mi was 12, Kwang-soo arrived home early and saw how his mother hit Yeong-mi very hard. She didn't know exactly what happened due to the pain of the punch, but when she finally could see, she saw his brother with a knife in his hand and his mother lying dead on the floor. Kwang-soo told Yeong-mi to go outside since he had to "take care of everything". Then, he set fire to the house for destroying any type of evidence of the murder. Once inside the burning house, he stayed there lost on his thoughts, but Yeong-mi brought him back to his senses and got him out of there before the house collapsed. However, Kwang-soo had suffered severe burns and Yeong-mi called for help. 1996-1999: Kwang-soo's imprisonment
Kwang-soo spent some months on the hospital recovering, and Yeong-mi went to see him every time she could. Some time later, Yeong-mi was adopted by the Abe family and Kwang-soo was sent to jail. Yeong-mi tried to write her brother every now and then for him to not feel alone. The Abes were a very caring and warm couple, so they treated Yeong-mi with all the love she didn't have with her stepmother. Still, this made her felt guilty, since she was being happy while her brother was miserable for protecting her. 1999-2002: Happy family lifeIn 1999, when finally Kwang-soo got released from prison, Yeong-mi was ecstatic for being able to see her brother finally. However, he didn't visit her. He didn't even pick her calls up. So she got surprised when, a month later, he finally answered his phone, although the voice who answered wasn't Kwang-soo's but other man's. That man was Chan-woo, former cellmate and current boyfriend and roommate of Kwang-soo. He told her that he wanted him to meet her since he knew even if Kwang-soo was stubborn, he missed her, so the both of them decided to make a fake "casual encounter" to make Kwang-soo realize that he needed to be with his sister and she needed to be with him as well. At the end, Kwang-soo had to agree with them, and they were in touch since then as a normal family. Yeong-mi was very happy to finally have her brother at his side as well as caring parents. However, in 2002, Chan-woo died in front of Kwang-soo, and Yeong-mi could see how her brother started to feel more and more depressed until eventually he ran away without telling anything. Yeong-mi was devastated for losing her brother once again, but she knew she couldn't give up on her life, but neither on him. 2002-2012: Chasing Kwang-soo and joining the MafiaShe continued her studies and thanks to them as well as her intelligence and skills, she became a hacker. She felt that she could find her brother like that, since, after all, if she could have access to databases she could know his whereabouts. With some time, she indeed found him and tried to reach him once again. Being Kwang-soo in the mafia, she thought that the to be at his side was to join as well, and even thought she isn't good at fighting, she knows her brains and hacker skills could be useful in some scenarios. When Yeong-mi finally meet her brother again in 2012 , he didn't seem happy to see her but rather disappointed. That didn't stop her to promise him to be at his side since then and make him happy. Yeong-mi always loved her father a lot since the man was always warm and affectionate with her, and was devastated when he died. She is completely unaware of what he did to her brother and the actual reason of his death, and Kwang-soo thinks it's for the best, so he will take that secret to the grave. Even if they have their differences, Kwang-soo is the most important person in Yeong-mi's life. Since childhood, he always took care of her, giving her all the love possible. That's why Yeong-mi always felt guilty, because he did everything for her while he only received pain due to her. Yeong-mi wants him to be happy, and now that she's not a kid anymore, she would do everything that is in her hand. When he starting dating Kyung-seok, as time passed and he mellowed down a bit, she was happy of finally being able to say her brother was back. Yeong-mi was very scared of her. Her very first memory of her was already just a glare, but things got worse once her husband died and she got in care of both Kwang-soo and Yeong-mi. What started as psychological abuse, soon became physical abuse as well. Since she was like that only when Kwang-soo wasn't around, Yeong-mi trembled every time they were alone. One of the things the woman repeated to her was how she had destroyed her family, so Yeong-mi started believing it. That's why she didn't tell anything about the abuse to Kwang-soo since she didn't want her brother to suffer. When Kwang-soo went to jail, since she was still a minor with no other relatives, Yeong-mi was adopted by the Abe family. They supported her in everything even when she told them she would leave the familiar house to go after her brother. Even though not much older than her brother, but maybe because he has a daughter, Yeong-mi sees him as a father figure and sometimes goes to him for advice. She finds funny that he is Kwang-soo's friend, and she even straight up asked him how could someone as sweet as him befriend such a rude moron like her brother. Kyung-seok at first was just her supervisor. They already got along well due to their easy-going and relaxed personalities, but as soon as Yeong-mi found out he was hooking up with her brother he became her hope. She always wanted a boyfriend for her brother since she felt it was what he needed to overcome his trauma of the past, and knowing how good person Kyung-seok was, he was perfect for that role. Since then, she tried to help him her own way to spend more time with Kwang-soo, and every conversation not work related was about him. Thanks to that, she noticed that Kyung-seok seemed to be actually in love with Kwang-soo, so she did her best for helping him with it. When they started dating officially, Yeong-mi was very happy. For them, because they'll be happy together, but also for herself because that meant she could tease her brother about it, for example calling Kyung-seok brother-in-law every time they meet in front of Kwang-soo. Even though Chan-woo was ten years older than her, they had a nice relationship due to their similar cheerful and extroverted personalities. Besides, they also shared the desire to make Kwang-soo happy, and Yeong-mi could see how happy he was with him, so she was more than glad and thankful to him for that. Yeong-mi liked to tease them both, telling Chan-woo that he should take care of her brother properly at night so he could improve his mood.
