Dashie and Applejack had no idea they were gonna have twins so TJ came as a surprise to everyone. The rest of her life has seemed to follow suit. She was born with very large and powerful wings (think Flurry Heart but a little less dramatic) which she eventually grew most of the way into. Everyone was convinced she would grow up to be just as fast a flyer as Rainbow Dash, however it soon became clear that her oversized wings were too heavy for her to get much speed. That was alright with her because she felt her destiny was on the farm, but whatever ambitious tasks she tried her heavy wings got in the way. Now as a full grown mare who still has a blank flank she has long since given up on passionately throwing herself into new things, electing to instead stay home and help out with odd jobs around the farm. She is less outspoken than her sister and can often be seen with an expression that is deadpan, bordering on grouchy. Few ponies outside of her siblings can get her to smile, though that hasn't stopped her from making a few odd friends.
