Prince Ambrosia Arlington Cosmos the First or better known Prince Ambrosia. Result of an affair between Queen Twilight Sparkle of Equestria and the royal magic advisor Sunburst.
Prince Ambrosia has a strong magical ability but has been sidelined by his mother so he currently isn't a ruler over any part of Equestria or is in control of any major functions. He currently lives in Ponyville where his mother once lived and studied in an effort to understand how to become a better person.

Prince Ambrosia has always sought out approval and praise from others since he never received it as a foal. Over time he has become bitterly stubborn and will now stop nothing to prove himself right. Despite all this his confidence is incredibly low but tries to not let anyone see how unsure he is. He finds his happy place in the friends he makes and often creates deep pack bonds with those he cares about. He has issues with authority and will often buck against anyone who tries to tell him what to do no matter their intentions.

He is incredibly creative and can come up with a solution for almost every problem he comes across.

Poster child for burnt out gifted kid. Has a lot of knowledge but can never apply it without second guessing himself. His confidence is completely shot.

When Prince Ambrosia was born a massive festival was thrown throughout Equestria as the first son of the new king and queen of Equestria was a momentous occasion. On top of an heir to the throne, Prince Ambrosia was the first male alicorn ever to be born in Equestria. However the celebration did not last too long within the castle walls, as soon as Twilight Sparkle set eyes on the foal she handed him to her husband Flash Sentry and asked to be left alone. Flash Sentry took his son from the room and held him close "Welcome to the world Prince Ambrosia Arlington Cosmos the First."
As Prince Ambrosia grew so did his intellect and magical ability but so did the rift between him and his mother. As queen of Equestria Twilight was incredibly burdened with the tasks it took to solely rule the entire country, she hardly had time for herself let alone raising her son. Prince Ambrosia grew up in the shadow of the legendary Twilight Sparkle and all the stories everyone told about her epic adventures with all of her friends as well as how they saved Equestria over and over again.
Prince Ambrosia wanted nothing more than to make his mother proud so he spent all his time in his foalhood studying and practicing his magic with his mentor Sunburst. (w.i.p)

Queen of Equestria. Keeper of the sun, the moon, and magic. One of the founders of the school of friendship. Twilight Sparkle has always been a busy mare and this did not change when she became a mother. With the stressors of her work and the guilt of her infidelity Twilight was not ready to become a mother and this was clear in how she raised Prince Ambrosia. In an effort to help conceal the truth of who Prince Ambrosia's father was she was very absent in his foalhood. Always away on political trips or too busy with work to ever spend time with him other than during dinner or important ceremonies. This left Prince Ambrosia always with Flash Sentry or a nanny for most of his upbringing and a constant need to try to keep pushing himself in an effort to make Twilight proud enough to spend time with him.
Sunburst is the current royal magic advisor and vice principle of the school of friendship. His appointment to royal magic advisor came straight from Twilight but they currently are a work relationship only despite their past affair. Sunburst is aware that he is Prince Ambrosia's true father but keeps this a deep secret not only to protect the image of the royal family but also to maintain the family he has with Starlight Glimmer and their children. However Sunburst has kept a mentor role in Prince Ambrosia's life as a family friend until Prince Ambrosia found out the truth.
King only in title, Flash Sentry is the husband of Queen Twilight Sparkle. While Flash Sentry has grown to love Twilight despite their marriage being one of convenience it is quite obvious that Twilight does not feel the same way. Flash Sentry has no idea that Prince Ambrosia is not his biological son and even stepped up to be with Prince Ambrosia as much as he physically could when Twilight became absent in raising the young foal.
Princess Wisteria is Prince Ambrosia's younger sister and the second in line for the throne of Equestria. However despite her birth status being below Prince Ambrosia, Princess Wisteria has been on an accelerated track of learning by Queen Twilight Sparkle's side not only in magic but also in political matters. Due to this favoritism in the family the relationship between Princess Wisteria and Prince Ambrosia is strained at best and hostile at worst.
