 Without a father figure, left living with a mother too focused on her own work to care for him, Aten grew up lonely and neglected. He was left to his own devices, and as a child, often aspired to one day be like royalty. He took a particular interest in Pharaohs, so he always imagined himself to be one. As no one ever countered his progressively-selfish nature and aspirations, Aten soon learned that he could emulate this high, royalty-like status by using intimidation and abuse on his peers. When he grew up and moved to Chicago, he decided that he wanted to be feared. Drunk with a lust for power, he ended up forming a sort of mafia called the Oasis, which worked its way up from laughable to downright frightening. Aten does what he likes when he feels like it, and he's even got the police kissing his feet.At some point, his base of operations was broken into. By the time the crook made it to Aten's office, he was already armed and prepared to defend himself with a shotgun, as he happens to keeps guns in display cases in his office. The thief introduced himself as Videl, and he ended up flirting with the mafia leader. One thing led to another, and now Aten and Videl are partners, both occupationally and romantically. | |||

| Aten is hot-tempered and passionate. He despises when anything goes wrong and prefers to do his dirty work himself to prevent fuck-ups. He's vain and arrogant, but deep down is actually quite sensitive and insecure (specifically on the topics of his sexuality and short stature). He reacts to any insults that damage his ego with an explosive, aggressive outburst. | |||
