Side Note: Saara is actually over 2000 years old, since she is a full Demon she does not look her actual age. She barely ages and only if she were to choose it. She looks 21 to 25 most of the time. Saara also converts her age over to human years for ease.

APPERANCE:

In human form Saara resembles a women about the age of 25 but is actually much much older, many thousands of years old in fact. Quite young for a demon but old enough to confuse a human so she tends to calculate her age according to human years for simplicity. She is taller then average human female height, closer to the height of a man if she cared to measure at all. She has tan skin and waist length, curly, red hair, a color reminiscent of freshly spilt human blood. Her three main styles are either in a single braid, loose with many braids scattered about her head, or loose with a single braid in the back. Her eyes are green, the color of a forest in the spring with slit pupils. She has a very strong facial features, with pointed ears and a beauty mark under her left eye. Her body is muscular as a result of years of training and battle. Her muscles are present and visible but not overly so, she takes great pride in them. Her hands also have claws instead of regular nails, just one more thing that points out her true nature, not that she minds one bite.

Her Devil Trigger is much like her adoptive father in appearance, because of an experiment that was done to her at a very younger age. It was done to protect her but all the same, it did drastically change the appearance of her DT. In demon form she grows at least two feet taller, she remains humanoid but her body becomes black and chitinous, with a large orange, fiery crack in the center of her chest with smaller, thinner cracks of the same color running outwards to cover the rest of her body. Her feet and legs become like her adoptive fathers as well, legs like a dragon and claws of Fire itself. Her mane of curly red hair grows longer and turns to fire seemingly alive in it’s own right. Horns of black and decorated with spirals and cracks of gold sprout from her head, they are rigid to the touch, large and long in measure, they seem to scrap the sky at glance. Where most of her body is covered in smooth scale, from her elbow to her hands the texture is more rigid and hard. Scales covering scales to look more like rocks, at the tips of her figures claws that glow like Molten lava and burn just the same, all but the most powerful demons stand no chance against them.

PERSONALITY:

She is kind and caring towards the people she’s close to. Anyone she has grown to trust is more then family to her and she’ll do anything and everything for them. She’ll go so far as to even place their wellbeing above her own more often then not. In battle she treats enemies with no mercy, fighting with a fierceness and passion that is hard to match, she enjoys the hunt and revels in the resulting battle/kill. She has a wild but elegant battle style. Her style is reminiscent of ancient warriors. The discipline and training that went into her styles perfection is clear to see, if you get the chance to see it. Due to the volatile nature of some of her DT states she prefers to fight alone.

  • Drawing, a habit she originally picked up from her Father, Belial. When she was a child she would sit for hours and watch her Father draw or paint the most beautiful things. There are many gorgeous places in the Demon World, an infinite number of things to immortalize in ink. Almost everyday for as long as Saara could remember, Belial would put her on his back and fly her to the most idyllic locations and draw all the while teaching her to do the same or explaining the history of the place they’d happen to be at. These are some of her fondest memories from her child and her only regret is not having any of her Fathers works to relive the memories without the fog of time that clouds her mind sometimes.
  • Reading and learning, Saara could spend hours or days at a time reading without break, on her days off you can always catch in her apartment reading a new book and taking notes. The first thing she did when she moved into the apartment she lives now is find the one bookshop in the city that sells rare and hard to find books, the very next thing she did was befriend the shop owner because she goes to that shop so much. She’s so friendly with the owner in fact that Saara will often close up shop for her because she’s often the last one out of the store as she gets so caught up in her book.
  • Plants and Nature, a love of nature is something her mom instilled in her very young. Her Mother grew a vast array of Demonic plants in her garden, a garden so large it was a dimension in and of itself. Saara would spend many a day running around and playing inside that large and wonderful world, conversing with the flora and fauna that resided there and some could actually talk back. Her Mother had been keeping that garden since time immemorial so of course some of the beings in there gained sentience, being surround by Demonic energy all the time and all. Saara’s favorite plant was a very grouchy that would always try to eat her but never could catch her, roots and all that. Over time though, after many, many attempts, this plant did manage to catch her but in the end he no longer could eat her saying “he had already eaten” but in truth the plant had grown to care for the child Saara too much to harm her now. She would visit this grouchy plant everyday and discuss the things that had happened outside of the place that it lived, after they would play Saara’s favorite game and the plant would try to eat her all over again, much to her delight. She keeps a tiny garden of her very own in her apartment as a result of all this, mostly human plants which are interesting in their own right but she also has a demon plant or two. Saara sometimes wonders if that garden is still there, maybe one day she will go back to the family home and find out…
  • History, Saara has always found the Demon World interesting, it is her home after all. As fascinating as the Human World is the Demon World is infinitely more so, many things exist there, sometimes even without the knowledge of its residents. She will consume anything and everything she can when it comes to her home, a trait she picked up listening to the many stories her father would tell her. Many nights before bed and sometimes even during their training, he would regale her with tales of great battles or fascinating legends, of places she could only dream of. He promised he would take her to see every inch of the Demon World one day, but promises are meant to be broken, right?

Dislikes

  • People who think they are better then others, especially when it’s clear they don’t deserve it. Strength is the core of Demon society, the only way to earn a name for yourself is to prove you are strong, words mean nothing. In Saara’s mind a boastful enemy is a weak one and she detests a chatty Demon.
  • Liars, there’s no honor in lying, especially too the degree that it hurts others. Saara has been hurt by the lies of others, people that she’s cared for and that hurts more then anything.
  • Promise breakers, If you say you going to do something then do it.
  • Being alone, when alone without something to do Saara’s mind tends to wonder. It will wonder and wonder until it reaches a place that Saara doesn’t like to be.
  • Being left behind, a lot of important people in Saara’s life have left her, so being left behind by others has always left a bad taste in her mouth. It is something that will always give her anxiety even if the person is just going to the next room for a moment, she tries to hide this as best as she can. Saara hides it so well there are only two people able to see through her mask.
  • Not being given a choice, Saara loves to have control over most things in her life, it gives her a sense of stability. Something she feels her life often lacks. When that control is taken from her, the result tends not to be ones that fall in her favor, in an extremely bad way usually. Saara can recall the few times this has occurred with vivd clarity and none of these memories are happy ones...

Background

Saara was born to a Primordial and an Elemental, two Demons who loved her very much. For a long time their lives were happy, until Saara was about 1000 years old, that’s when the war started. Mundus rose against Primordial “rule” and declared himself the rightful king of the Demon World, this battle lasted many Demon lifetimes and in the end The Primordials lost. Saara’s parents were both casualties of this war, leaving her an unknown orphan as her Father made sure no one knew she existed outside of his family and some close friends. One of these friends survived the battles and managed to sneak their way to Belial’s family home, rescuing Saara in the process. This person could not safely keep her with them and devised a plan to instead place them right under Mundus’ nose. Saara would be adopted by a Demon so weak at the time that they would go unnoticed by the new Demon King and this Demon was Berial. However Saara’s bloodline was too strong and would instantly give her away as not being from the Fire Hell so to prevent this from happening an experiment was done. In this experiment the blood and energy of Berial was taken and injected into Saara, obscuring her genetics in such a way that they would be undetectable to such a weak Demon. This lead to Saara being adopted as Berial’s ward and heir, should he ever come into anything worth inheriting, she spent much of her early life with him as a result. After a time, near adulthood for a human, she set off on a quest to get revenge upon the one who murdered her Father, The Dark Knight Sparda. A journey that took an odd turn and lead her to his son instead, his son Vergil. Being who she is though, after a brief explanation of the situation, they fought. A battle that almost killed them both but in the end Saara lost, as she wasn’t able to access her full strength. However this chance meeting ended up changing their lives forever, and a bond soon grew between them that was unbreakable, until one day it did…

A Glimpse of the Past

When Saara was born she was one powerful baby, being born to a Primordial will do that to you. She came from her mother, an Elemental, crying and screaming like normal but this baby was anything but. Saara was bursting at the seams with Chaos power, thanks to her dad, but being part Elemental meant that her tiny baby body could not contain the power she inherited. Her Father, like any father, wanted to save his child and so he placed a seal upon her power of Chaos to prevent it from destroying her, thus creating the first DT.

All in all her childhood was fairly normal, well as normal as a Demon can be. Training and drawing with Dad, gardening and learning to wield lightning with mom, the usual, at least until the war. Now at this time Saara was still a young child and didn’t have a full grasp of what was happening, all she knew was that Mother and Father went off for a very long time everyday, leaving her to fend for her self, then they came home always looking worse then they left. What was going on, was that an upstart Demon named Mundus decided he was the rightful ruler of the demon world and that the Demons currently ruling it were much weaker then he, not true mind you but those were the claims. Mundus, being the coward that he was, dragged out the war for many a Demon lifetime and the longer the war, the more Primordials that fell to it.

By the time Mundus changed tactics all but two of the Primordials had fallen, now what tactics were employed next you might ask? Well what better way to get to someone stronger then you, well by going after the ones they love. One day while Saara and her Mother were playing alone in their home, Father was away and what a more perfect time to strike. A hoard of Demons descended upon the home, in an attempt to protect Saara, her Mother told her to run and hide while she stayed and fought and so the child did as she was told, but her Mother was only one Demon in a sea of many. Saara came out of hiding when there was no more noise to be heard but Mother was nowhere to be found and when it came time for her Father to return home, he never showed.

Over on the other side of the Demon World a battle was raging and the last two Primordials were winning or so they thought but Mundus’ plan had succeeded and the fall of the Primordials was near. Belial and his sister killed scores of Demons that day, the last two Primordials, the strongest of them all, even they were no match for what was to come, the return of Mundus’ hoard.

The beat of their decrepit wings filled the skies, their victory cries echoed across the battle field as they held up and paraded their prize, the last Elemental, the mate of the Primordial Belial. He watched in horror as they dropped his mates body from the sky, he willed his great black wings to go as fast as they could, he would not let her fall. The closer he got the less it all seemed real, her body was in tatters, an amalgam of what she used to be. Time seemed to slow as her studied what remained of his love, taking note of every wound. All the bite marks, each chunk of her that was missing, the blood on her beautiful, lifeless face, all of it his fault. Time regained it’s speed as Belial’s outstretched hands reached their target, bringing his lover into his arms just as they crashed to the ground.

Void colored feathers were everywhere, he had risked it all to reach his mate in time and his wings had paid the price, broken beyond the point his body could quickly repair. All he could do was kneel where he crashed, cradling the mangled body of his lover to his chest, for he had lost the one thing he could not live without. Belial was defenseless in his grief, the will to fight had long since left, it was in this moment the war had been won. Mundus took advantage of the opportunity he had created and captured the Fallen Primordial and his sister, effectively winning the war in one move.

After their capture all other demons fell in line seeing the strength that Mundus had displayed and the Primordials were set to be executed. As a further display of power, Mundus ordered the execution to take place at the ancestral home of the Primordials, what a better way to show he had won. When Mundus arrived in the realm the Primordials resided in, only a day had passed since her Mother had been taken and the battle had been won so when Saara heard noise she thought it was her parents and she wasn’t full wrong. Saara watched from her hiding spot, she saw many Demons that day, they all gathered in the yard of her home and in the middle of them was her Father. Belial was kneeling next to his sister, his beautiful black wings now drooping behind him in tatters, many of feathers now gone. He looked no better himself, Belial looked as if he had already died, staring off into the distance, eyes devoid of life.

While Saara watched her Father, Mundus was giving a nonsense speech of how he was the truest power in the Demon World and that it was time for old power had to end. After that Mundus ordered his strongest General, The Dark Knight Sparda, to “Bring in the new age” of the Demon World, simply put it was time for The Primordials to be executed. Sparda walked up to the spot where Belial and his sister were kneeling and put his blade to their necks, lifting the blade into the air, he prepared for the final blow.

Saara watched on in confusion, she didn’t know what her Father did to deserve this treatment from her Brethren, truth is there was nothing, no reason as to why he had to die other then a lust for power. The blade began its deadly decent, and in the moment just before it reached Belial’s neck, he turned his head towards his child, his last words would be for her. Saara looked on as the blade cut through her Father’s neck, his last words seared into her memory. He said “I love you, my child. Be strong, live well and make your enemies regret invoking your name.” No one but Saara could hear them and she will always be haunted by them.

The Unavoidable Future

Saara’s future is mostly undetermined, a book yet to be written.

She wishes to be with Vergil once more, to have the life that was taken from her, to fill the void his absence has left within her.

She knows however this is not meant to be, or at least so she thinks.

In truth her future will contain much happiness, a lot more then she believes.

It will be filled with love, kindness, family, friends, and many adventures.

Adventures of healing and self discovery, of finding lost family heirlooms, and stopping a crazy demonic cult from resurrecting The Progenitors.

However all these adventures and more are stories for another time and our time seems to be at an end so I bid you farewell.

Be strong, live well and make your enemies regret invoking your name.
