Personality: Auriel is humble and compassionate...though is also often described as quick to anger and equally quick to laugh. He also possesses a strong will and a steely resolve despite sometimes coming off as slightly meek to those that do not know him. Auriel is usually quite untrusting of those he first meets, having been backstabbed by supposed acquaintances many times in his life, but will usually warm up to new friends and proves to be warm and courteous...while making an effort to treat everyone equally.
Auriel also possesses a very strong mind and is exceptionally intelligent. He reads almost constantly when he can and his wisdom is clearly derived from his strong since of patience. It is important to note that he is also extremely brave with superb combat abilities as he can wield impressive magic and, on several occasions, demonstrates a natural proficiency with one-handed blades. Fighting abilities are natural in the Bormah bloodline, though Auriel focuses his strengths on magic unlike the rest of his family who rank in the Ivoryhelm guard.
Perhaps Auriel's greatest weakness is his insecurity. It has plagued him through life....the idea he might not be good enough, undermining his work while his past mistakes haunt him. This adding to the slightly cold, reserved air he occasionally keeps around himself as protection. But he also possesses wisdom to learn from his mistakes, and ensure they do not happen again.
