[SOO] Dominic Waterwave (!)

About: Sushi Dogs in general are tiny, pixie-like creatures created by Great Soosh - the same type of magical being but more powerful - to help fight famine and to bring happiness around the world. This Sushi Dog called Dominic Waterwave is curious, loves adventures and is often interested in very unusual, often extreme activities. Discovering how the volcano looks before the outbreak? Why not? Running alond the front line and serving blue hurricane cocktail to soldiers? Sounds amazing! Visiting the hospital during an epidemic of strange illness manifesting in green facial eczema? That's sense of charity! Meeting one by one all the fortune tellers in the area and then compare their predictions? Writing about it some article to the newspaper? How interesting. Sightseeing the worst part of town?  "Interesting, but we have to do it quickly..." Not to mention watching extreme natural phenomena... On one of the pictures in the gallery Dominic Waterwave is very happy to see the real tornado (his friends maybe have been hapy - a while ago). No matter that he will be hurt or the idea is just  stupid - paraphrasing my dear husband, who said the same thing about one of our cats - Dominic Waterwave isn't a very clever animal. In addition magical powers of this Soosh aren't too strong (I've made up this because his cheeks aren't very expressive), but the character has one main skill - enormous possibility to cure himself and regenerate and it doesn't take too long. Magical skill can be related to the drink he's made from, guess why. It doesn't matter that Dominic seems extreme, he is really very nice and gentle, he doesn't force anybody to do anything and has a lot of empathy. Despite of interest in specific situations he prefers to life off the beaten track, he even can be seen as transparent or almost invisible, maybe that's why troubles finally avoid him and another Sooshes don't even know about his strange hobby. Maybe someday they will know, when Dominic Waterwave will become a reporter, what is his dream.

How to draw: Snout of this Sushi Dog is short, puppy-like, but not flat. The bandana knot type is sometimes mistaken with bowtie, but actually it's short ribbon knot - as one shown on the refrence. Paw pads can be white or light/medium grey as nose, I prefer white, but toes are white too and grey paw pads would look more visible, so case is open at now. Legs - a little bit longer than typical Sushi Dog. Eyes are always closed - this is a trait of the whole species, also the bandana is not an optional feature, it's irremovable - Sushi Dogs die without their bandanas. Light blue part of bandana and part of edible tail with cherry - is on Dominic's left side and - umbrella and dark blue part of bandana is on his right side, Dominic is also right-handed. Swirls on the bandanna should be equal, because not equal swirls are illegal trait. Lineart colour is free to choose, but I recommend black or blue and grey. Also Dominic, as other typical Sooshes, is very tiny, his body could have five to max ten cm of height (in inches: two to four). Attention! There are some drawings in gallery drawn differently, but it's a reason of the contest and diffrent interpretation of this character by other contestants. So show your creativity and draw Dominic Waterwave, it's completely free but - you have to credit me as the owner. 

Other: a) Sushi Dogs are closed species created by Witchpaws/ Spikedpeach, at now owned by Chital, more info at sushidogs.deviantart.com and at sushidogs.com websites. b) Design is fully and immovably designed by Blabbitz, although the full personality is invented by me. c) Design was winned by me in the Summer Vacation DTA contest organized in 2017 on Sushi Dog Deviantart group. d) Name of the character is inspired by Dominic, the main, emo-like hero of "Suicide Room" movie, Waterwave has similar haircut to this boy and partially similar personality, partially, because the Sushi Dog looks for strange situations to survive them, describe them and solve any problem that arise, and his goal isn't to get overally involved and be lost forever. e) Sushi Dogs are made of little amount of food, that Great Soosh himself shapes into a Sushi Dog being.
